About the role:

Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company to inspire you and empower you to shine? Join us as an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Lead in our Cambridge, MA office. As part of our Global Ethics & Compliance team, you will co-create and contribute to enhancements of the Takeda ERM framework which supports a values-based approach to risk management across the company. As the ERM Lead, you will report to Head of ERM.

How you will contribute:

  • Ensure the essential activities of the ERM function are managed following our priorities and improve our processes to support increased productivity within the company, using data collection and analysis strategies

  • Manage the Enterprise Risk Assessment process, including aggregation of bottom-up risk assessments into a global Enterprise Risk Report

  • Be an essential of contact to the businesses ensuring accurate support for the Enterprise Risk Assessment process

  • Conduct risk assessment training for the company-wide Risk Coordinator community and support enablement of the community through knowledge sharing and examples of better practices

  • Co-facilitate deep dives to better understand risk complexities and identification of risk mitigation strategies.

Minimum qualifications/requirements:

  • 12 years of experience in risk management or a related discipline such as Finance or Internal Audit

  • 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry or life science related industries such as biotech

  • Background in implementing different corporate governance frameworks for multinational companies and working knowledge of international frameworks and standards (e.g. COSO framework, ISO standards, Sarbanes Oxley requirements), required

  • Co-creating with diverse team members and achieving results in international matrixed organizations

  • Experience developing reporting dashboards for senior team members an advantage

  • Knowledge of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems and implementation experience an advantage

  • Knowledge of Internal Control Systems (ICS) an advantage
