Join Takeda as a Research Scientist TME Tumor Assays, ODDU where you will contribute to pre-clinical projects. You will also make contributions from the lab to advance novel and differentiated therapeutic modalities towards preclinical and clinical milestones. As part of the Oncology Drug Discovery Unit (ODDU), you will report to Associate Director, reporting into the Tumor Biology Lab Head within the group.
How you will contribute:
Contribute to pre-clinical projects by designing and developing well-defined mechanistic experiments and projects within Oncology and immuno-oncology research.
Independently plans new experimental approaches to specific problems/scientific projects using scientific theory and technical literature with flexibility to troubleshoot and change experimental design when necessary.
Interpret results of complex experiments and documents results according to company policies in electronic lab notebook.
Analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data to key stakeholders, and play an active role in the subsequent scientific discussions leading to key decisions and program-enabling next steps
Initiate investigation of new experimental approaches to specific problems using scientific theories, data from internal/external partners, and technical literature
Work with cultured cell lines and primary cells from multiple species (murine, human) using sterile technique to perform assay development, model characterization, and screening.
Provide extensive hands-on support for basic molecular biology assays, including but not limited in cell based genetic engineering (CRISPR and other relevant tools), western blotting, qRT-PCR/digital PCR, molecular cloning and lenti-virus package and infection.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
PhD degree in a scientific discipline, or MS with 4+ years experience, or BS with 6+ years experience
Industry experience is preferred, but not required
Proven records by leveraging molecular/genetic tools for oncology research and mechanistic investigation
Proficiency with common software for documentation and presentation of results at different levels of granularity and documentation in electronic lab notebook.
Demonstrate scientific leadership from the lab within project teams.
Experience in complicate tumor assay model development.
CRISPR based genetic screen experience is preferred
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
Strong team player who thrives in a dynamic, 'biotech-like' environment.

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$108,500.00 - $170,500.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
