Join Takeda as a Scientist/Senior Scientist, Advanced Analytics - Cell Therapies where you will lead and develop the novel analytical solutions to facilitate next gen cell therapy development. You will drive and lead the development of cell therapy advanced functional analytic platforms and be responsible for using existing assays and/or developing new analytical methods to support cellular product development and IND enabling studies. e.g. CAR T, CAR NK, CAR gdT products (primary and/or iPSC derived).

How you will contribute:

  • Prepares study protocols, reports, technology transfer documentation, and regulatory documents for various studies.

  • Responsible for participating and interacting on matrix project teams, presenting study results at team or department meetings, to external partners or at conferences.

  • Understands project timelines and deliverables and plans/coordinates project work accordingly with departmental, functional and external stakeholders.

  • Leads and develops the novel analytical solutions to facilitate next gen cell therapy development.

  • Independently make plans and executes experiments to test CAR-T / CAR-NK/CAR gdT products.

  • Serves as a technical resource for junior staff and leverages expertise in laboratory technology as a functional resource/trainer.

  • Prepares study protocols, reports, technology transfer documentation, and regulatory documents for clinical trials.

  • Reviews, interprets and communicates data cross-functionally within CMC and/or project teams.

  • Plans and implements resolutions to technical problems/issues.

  • Works collaboratively with other members from different teams and demonstrates independent, self-starting and supportive of team-based research and able to work effectively in a matrix organization.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with key vendors and assists with technical aspects of vendor negotiations.

  • Assists with the development of analytical strategy and communicates complex data/decisions within department and cross functionally as necessary.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • PhD in Immunology, Cancer biology, stem cell biology and biomedical engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0-5+ years relevant industry/academic experience

  • Experience in developing and executing cellular characterization assays, including flow cytometry, xCelligence and/or incuCyte based cell function assay as well as cytokine release assay.

  • Expertise in T cell/ NK cells/ gdT cell and/or Innate cell biology.

  • Experience with xCelligence or incuCyte platform is desirable.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems, and determine causes and possible solutions

  • This position is looking for talent who has a solid background in immune-oncology and innate immunology.

  • May require approximately 0-10% travel.
