POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Maintain an overall perspective on the Research portfolio and the external environment and provide this context to enable senior leaders to incorporate a big-picture perspective into their areas of functional expertise.

  • Ensures portfolio level project management effectiveness through effective system utilization, accurate data aggregation, and valuable reporting and dashboards

  • Develop and use models and tools designed to understand risk, time, cost and value under many scenarios and with a variety of decision frameworks, and to draw insight from these models and present and explain it to stakeholders.

  • Support of data governance at project and portfolio level and understanding of tools involved to enable the single source of truth and downstream reports.

  • Maintain tools for Strategy & Operations Portfolio and Governance team to manage portfolio wide and report progression

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced degree (MS, MA, MBA, or post graduate studies) in business, technical or scientific discipline is strongly preferred but may not be required based on industry experience and demonstrable leadership in a biotech/pharma R&D setting

  • 2-5 years industry experience, including at least 1-3 years of experience as a business analyst, consultant, project manager, or decision analyst

  • Knowledge of decision analysis applied to the pharmaceutical space, including dialogue decision processes, facilitation and debiasing techniques, and quantitative analytics

  • Is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of Drug Discovery to IND and has a solid foundation in translational sciences and early clinical development.

  • Shows cross-cultural understanding to utilize diverse talents and has demonstrated ability to manage teams to maximize the organizational productivity

  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Will manage globally coordinated work product. Up to approximately 25% travel may be required.  Domestic and international flights with overnight stays are required.
