About the role:

Join Takeda as a Head, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). How you will contribute:

  • You will define Takeda's strategic and values-based approach to ERM, delivering capabilities across the following dimensions: people & culture, taxonomy & standards, risk management process, data & technology
  • You will lead Takeda's daily ERM-related activities, ensuring appropriate leadership, governance, and management necessary to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor and report our financial, legal & regulatory, operational, strategic and sustainability risks
  • You will ensure close partnership with all tasks driving risk management across Takeda
  • Ensure the enterprise-wide Risk Coordinator community through training, exchanges of best practices, knowledge sharing
  • Ensure culture of risk management across the enterprise, including management of the Risk Coordinator community. Be the Risk Coordinator for Global Ethics & Compliance
  • Manage submissions to internal governance bodies such as the Global RECC and Board of Directors and support external reporting as required
  • Partner with Ethics & Compliance, Data & Technology and the Takeda Business Solutions, DDT and TBS to use technology and automation in ERM ensuring a data-driven approach
  • Improve continuous assessment and improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the ERM process together with team members
  • Partner with Monitoring, Investigations and Audit to provide a seamless approach to integrated risk management
  • Responsibility for Business Continuity Management (BCM) across enterprise, working closely with the global crisis management team
  • Ensure overall structure for enterprise BCM plans including Governance, Taxonomy, Process and Procedures
  • Coordinate enterprise BCM for identified important processes and areas including reporting to the global Risk Ethics and Compliance Committee

  • Interaction model: Work with senior enterprise leaders; Partnering with BU / BF on ERA; collaboration with Global Corporate Affairs & Sustainability and the broader GEC community, CFO functions, Legal, GIA, Global Communications, Strategy, external governance bodies

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experienced enterprise leader with 12-15 plus years of relevant experience in a global company
  • Build Risk Management frameworks in line with the nature, scale and complexity of the business
  • Track record in Risk Management or related area such as Finance, GIA, E&C, and Consulting.
  • Background in being successful in a highly matrixed organization through partnership with multiple team members
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required
  • Ability to lead operational excellence
