EMEA Payroll Specialist

Are You experienced in governance and compliance of payrolls across a wide range of EMEA countries, payroll and tax payments, month-end reconciliations and payroll project work, with drive and a continuous improvement mindset and you want to build something next-gen and innovative, while contributing to a greater purpose?

Join our team, as we continue our digital transformation and experience rapid growth, Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) are now hiring an EMEA Payroll Specialist at our offices in Dublin 2.

As a EMEA Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • Review payrolls to ensure they are processed accurately, timely and in accordance with country local requirements.

  • Ensure all equity transactions are captured and processed within the pay periods.

  • Complete month end payroll activities.

  • Ensure that monthly and yearly local tax filings, payments, and compliance requirements are met.

  • Ensure sufficient controls are in place and implemented to capture changes month on month and any differences are reconciled and explained.

  • Schedule, facilitate and participate in payroll-related meetings and presentations.

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies, e.g. Revenue, etc.

  • Prepare employee and payroll tax payments.

  • Create and maintain control documentation, process flows and procedures in line with SOX requirements.

  • Work with Payroll Operations Team and other HR functions to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information.

  • Work with external providers regarding specific payroll treatment for employees e.g. expatriate, international assignments & equity.

  • Work with internal and external audit to ensure the integrity of the payroll information.

  • Ensure a consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and process improvements.

  • Administration of time and attendance system.

  • Administration support of global shadow payroll.

Required qualifications:

  • Experience in a payroll position with the scope of a wider range of countries.

  • Knowledge and application of payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards desirable.

  • Understanding of Equity and Mobility programs.

  • Experience in HR operations or shared services environment or HR Functional experience (i.e. HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, HR Service Centre, etc.).

  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.

  • Strong excel skills.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Workday

  • CIPP/IPASS or equivalent payroll certification desirable.
