Job Description

SUMMARY

  • Global Supply Chain Order to Cash (OTC) BPO (Business Process Owner) is the Leader of a team of undisputed champions, leading the SC transformation for Takedas Order to Cash process. The incumbent enables efficient and compliant business operations while simplifying the complex with Technology. Order to Cash area includes e-commerce and Case Management capabilities.
  • Global Supply Chain Order to Cash Team BPO leads global business process governance, builds SC system user capabilities, and collaborates with Commercial, GSC and IT to design system related business processes, ensuring a continuous supply of product, creating value for customers and patients.
  • Incumbent facilitates OTC Strategy creation and drives implementation as part of critical programs like BPR
  • Working in a matrix organization, the successful candidate will be both a leader equally comfortable in working with senior leaders, peer managers, and super users (of both business and Information Technology) to build next generation business process capabilities aligned with company strategy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supply Chain Strategy design and execution

  • Leadership in global ERP projects: Align SC Strategy with ERP harmonization projects
  • Customer Service Strategy: Develop & align overall, long-term customer service strategy in-line with Takeda strategy and collaborate with Takeda IT to identify innovative solutions to enable patient centric Supply Chains
  • Inventory Strategy: Collaborate with BPO Planning on inventory strategy to support LOCs in-line with customer service strategy
  • GSC IT requirements: Lead the Collection & alignment of requirements from GSC functions for Supply Chain IT systems and align with Takeda IT

Business Process Ownership & Governance

  • SC IT project implementation: Sponsor and prioritize OTC programs and have team manage and monitor SC IT projects in close alignment with GSC functions & Takeda IT
  • Global Business Process Governance GOP:  Own GOPs and process flows and/or collaborate with GOP owners outside of GSCSS

Capability Building

  • Training: Oversight and leadership of Community of Practice and creation and implementation of strategic and operational global training plans on order to cash related systems/tools; contribute to SC Academy
  • Change Management: Lead the SC organization and LOCs to maximize employee adoption of key initiatives and operating model changes to increase value realization of system enhancements.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of intercompany and order to cash business system designs within SAP, Digital Commerce, and Salesforce, including master data, with strong experience in system implementations
  • Very strong understanding of commercial and inventory processes & procedures, including internal controls, as well as business requirements development
  • Good understanding of latest trends in pharmaceutical markets, especially related to patient trends to deduct key requirements for Supply Chain strategy and technology/IT solutions
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in MS-PowerPoint, MS-Excel, and MS-Word for developing, communicating and implementing change management and strategic activities.

Leadership

  • Ability to operate cross functionally, working with all GSC functions, Strategy and Business Excellence, Operating Units (OpUs), and commercial business units
  • Directly leads & supervises Order to Cash Business Process Leads Team

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Very strong capabilities to influence senior leaders, peers, and super users within business and IT to build efficient order to cash business process capabilities aligned with Takeda strategy.
  • Very strong capabilities to analyze issues and to prepare & enable decision making on a global level across GSC functions
  • Capability to best deploy team resources across different projects

Interaction

  • SC groups within Takeda: Ensure alignment/agreement on SC Strategy & core GSC KPIs targets; receive & align IT requirements
  • Takeda IT: Ensure alignment / agreement of SC IT strategy & roadmap; align SC IT requests; provide business guidance on IT projects
  • Corporate Services: Collaborates on IT projects and provides insight and supports resolution of financial reporting implications attributable to order to cash processes.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Strong ability to simplify complex business process problems and provide clarity to different stakeholder levels in the organization
  • Degree in business informatics, business administration and/or Supply Chain management
  • Min 10 years of prior relevant experience in Supply Chain Management/ Supply Chain IT Management and/or its key functions     
  • Min 8 years-experience in order to cash related systems, including ERP (SAP-Sales & Distribution, Inventory/Warehouse Management, Global Trade Services), Digital Commerce, and CRM (Salesforce) with robust understanding of end to end order to cash business processes, including sales order management, pricing management, inventory and intercompany management activities, as well as internal controls.
  • Experienced in Change Management activities, including change impact assessments, business readiness assessments and communication.
  • Strong and impactful communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across functions
  • Strong accountability to deliver on commitments through empowering teams and providing clear expectations
  • Strong business acumen & financial analytics skills to support sound decision making and strategic development
  • Strong ability to assess strengths & weaknesses of staff members & provide suggestions for improvement & opportunities to mentor staff
  • Strong ability to simplify complex business process problems and provide clarity to different stakeholder levels in the organization
  • Very good leadership, networking and influencing skills
