About the role:
You will be responsible for lifecycle management of data applications for GMS/GQ (Global Manufacturing/Quality) function. The Engineer shall ensure that Digital Products and Platforms are built efficiently, are scalable and built on state-of-the-art technology using existing cloud solutions/capabilities. Join Takeda as a Data Platforms Engineer where you will work on optimization and maintenance of data platforms. As part of the Technology Services team, you will report to the Lead, Data Products System.
How you will contribute:
System administration and support of cloud hosted applications in the Takeda environment, including but not limited to Stature, Minitab, Discoverant, ARIS, SIMCA and MODDE.
Oversee, participate in and manage deployments of application/platform changes within various cloud environments.
Work with cross functional teams to optimize existing architecture footprint of current and future platforms to ensure cost efficiency and end user satisfaction.
Support the analysis, design and installation of corporate GxP applications accordance with established procedures.
Monitor systems capacity and performance to allow for scaling of performance as necessary.
Implement changes following company's change management process to comply with Takeda policies.
Manage relationship with vendors, external support resources, escalation process and jointly troubleshoot issues.
BA or BS degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent experience
Experience with AWS Cloud implementations and knowledge of DevOps concepts
5+ years of data platforms support experience in a regulated environment
Experience managing the installation and configuration of data/analytics solutions hosted on AWS preferred
Experience monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks and performing root cause analysis
Experience or working knowledge of AWS Container Services such as EKS and ECS
Exposure to modern data/analytics architecture
Strong documentation skills for updating and maintaining system qualification documents
Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies
Experience in Computer Systems Validation GAMP
Experience with Business Intelligence and Tools (Qlik/PowerBI)
Basic technical and scientific background knowledge in pharmaceutical/biological environments
