About The Team:
We are looking for an experienced and driven DevOps engineer to join the Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality Data, Digital & Technology (GMS/GQ DD&T) team. Our team strives to be a leader in digital and innovation amongst our peers in the pharmaceutical industry – we identify capability gaps, design digital solutions, accelerate new insights, and improve business operations end-to-end. We are a small team, so you should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and flex a wide variety of skills. A good candidate will have a proven ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, manage through ambiguity, while keeping focus on must-win initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
Partner with Global Quality (GQ) organization to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in existing product lifecycle processes, from research and development to commercialization
Translate concepts and requirements into user flows, wireframes, MVPs, and prototypes that lead to better user experiences
Effectively communicate results and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Work in an agile, rapid development and prototyping environment
Hands-on development of conversational AI solutions
Lead and execute on proof of concepts and pilots (or prototypes)
Collaborate cross-functionally with different back-end and front-end engineering teams
Design and develop test automation, and potential scaling roadmap
Stay connected to Takeda’s Global Data & Technology (GDT) function, and leverage enterprise systems, platforms, and capabilities, whenever possible
Be a solid team player with no direct reports, and have a strong ability to influence others
Work with data scientists, engineers, and analysts to drive improvements in code quality
Lead production support triage meetings
Measure and track initiatives, using agile methods where possible
Skills and Requirements:
5+ years’ experience demonstrating strong engineering and professional leadership
Experience in applying and executing Digital / Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing algorithms, with respective programming knowledge
Experience with creating virtual assistants and chatbots, or Robotic Process Automation tools
Ability to make recommendations and guide other engineers on how to remove technical road-blocks
Skilled in agile product development and expert user of Jira, Confluence, Miro, Databricks, Python, Spark, and Hive
Enjoys teaching others who are less knowledgeable about the latest industry trends and technologies
Experience in biopharmaceutical or manufacturing industry, is a plus

We have a hybrid working environment
Primary office location for this role will be Lexington / Cambridge MA
We are a global organization with many colleagues in the US Eastern and Central European time zones
Some travel internationally is possible (estimated 1 travel every 6 months for 1 week)
