About The Team:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Data Analytics Lead to join the Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality Data, Digital & Technology (GMS/GQ DD&T) team. Our team strives to be a leader in digital and innovation amongst our peers in the pharmaceutical industry – we identify capability gaps, design digital solutions, accelerate new insights, and improve business operations end-to-end. We are a small team, so you should be prepared to roll up your sleeves and flex a wide variety of skills. A good candidate will have a proven ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities, manage through ambiguity, while keeping focus on must-win initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with Global Quality (GQ) organization to identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in existing product lifecycle processes, from research and development to commercialization

  • Create in-depth analytics and insights to inform the GQ short and long term strategies by synthesizing information from various data sources

  • Measure and track initiatives, using agile methods where possible

  • Translate data-driven insights into clear strategies and presenting analyses to technical and non-technical audiences 

  • Provide direction and support to Data Engineering team, by outlining the business case and justification for each data ingestion / data transformation request

  • Be a solid team player with no direct reports, and have a strong ability to influence others

  • Act as product owner and prioritize backlogs for initiatives, when needed

  • Build and manage dashboards using different visualization tools, and teaching others how to self-serve where possible

  • Develop solutions to enhance compliance and quality of life for people

  • Foster relationships with industry partners who have innovative technological capabilities, and identify how to leverage these solutions within Takeda, specifically for the Global Manufacturing & Supply and Global Quality (GMSGQ) business unit

Skills and Requirements:

  • 5+ years real-world experience in an analytical role, performing analyses and defining key business metrics that drive strategy

  • Experience using SQL and data visualization tools is required

  • Skilled in agile product development and use of Jira, Confluence, Miro

  • Ability to oversee multiple concurrent workstreams in a dynamic environment across a very matrixed organization spanning multiple geographies

  • Hands-on data analytics expert who is passionate about data governance, and meticulously detailed-oriented

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to tell a story in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Firm grasp of industry, digital, and artificial intelligence trends and market conditions

  • Interest in data science and machine learning

  • Experience in biopharmaceutical or manufacturing industry, is a plus

Where You Will Be:

  • We have a hybrid working environment
  • Primary office location for this role will be Lexington / Cambridge MA
  • We are a global organization with many colleagues in the US Eastern and Central European time zones
  • Some travel internationally is possible (estimated 1 travel every 6 months for 1 week)
