As a Territory Business Manager working on the Multifocal Motor Neuropathy (MMN) team, you will be empowered to impact patients’ lives. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by calling on and educating clinicians treating MMN, a rare auto-immune neuromuscular disease.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

  • Responsible for achieving sales quotas and objectives through new MMN patient starts and growing GAMMAGARD LIQUID volume for MMN.

  • Effectively educates clinicians on the safety and efficacy of GAMMAGARD LIQUID for MMN, proper ICD-10 codes, and complex differential diagnosis.

  • Calls on prospective customers, primarily in Neurology clinics.  Identifies sites of care for MMN patients along with their treating physician.  Educates staff on MMN at neurology infusion centers and hospital outpatient infusion centers. Compliance to HIPAA and patient privacy in this process is mandatory.  

  • Collaborates with and educates Specialty Pharmacy sales teams and SPP branches.

  • Identifies, educates, and develops KOLs, neurology residents, and neuromuscular fellows. 

  • Understands influence points within the office and how each player affects diagnosis, treatment, and the Rx/referral/order. 

  • Participates in community education events and Neurology conferences for healthcare professionals and patients.

  • Analyzes and interprets data for effective sales strategies.

  • Shares job expertise and best practices with colleagues.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Masters’ effective sales presentations and asks second level questions to identify true needs. 

  • Works closely with analytics, operations, market access, marketing, payer, clinical educators, and medical teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Provides feedback to immediate supervisor and marketing personnel for the development of marketing tools and sales strategies.

  • Understands how to work a large territory and can efficiently manage priorities and multiple call points.

  • Willing and able to take on projects to support the team.

  • Builds and documents a pipeline of opportunities along with territory and account plans.

  • Promotes the Takeda Culture by focus on PTRB (patient, trust, reputation, business) in that order.  Patients are the priority.  Demonstrates Takeda’s three Cs (curious, courageous, connected).

  • Hunter mentality and entrepreneurial approach with an eye on innovation

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree

  • 5+ years of demonstrated successful relevant healthcare sales experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, as well as presentation skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies.

  • Demonstrate personal accountability for results, business acumen and knowledge of sales processes, as well as strong leadership and decision-making abilities

Preferred:

  • 7+ years complex experience in rare disease or specialty sales (injectables or infusions) with roles of increasing responsibility

  • History of consistent success and top tier national rankings

  • Experience working with Specialty Pharmacy partners and Specialty Pharmacy branches.

  • Experience working with internal teams (channel, marketing, payer) to accomplish objectives. 

  • Experience/understands how to work multiple sites of care and product channels (SPP, infusion centers, hospitals) along with associated stakeholders.

  • Possess relationships in assigned territory with Neurologists and Neuromuscular Specialists

  • Master at accessing difficult to see customers at multiple sites of care

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Travel throughout the US is required on occasion for internal meetings and conferences. 

  • Ability to manage a large territory (1 overnight/week average). 

  • Must have the ability to work nights and weekends occasionally.
