Job Description

As an international pharmaceutical company of the Takeda Group, we are looking for the position of a GMS Product Manager, Oncology & Biologics in order to strengthen our team at Site Linz


  • Accountable for the product’s mid- to long-term global commercial supply chain strategy development with the objective to limit COGS, optimize investments and risk, improve inventory, and deliver the service required by markets
  • Manage application of project management tools
  • Project lead for relevant strategic O&B (Oncology & Biologics) projects
  • Contribute in long-term Rough Cut Capacity Planning discussions
  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional decision-making team GSCM, (Global Suply Chain managment) represent GSM in GPT/GCT/GCBT (Global Product Team, Global CMC Team, Global Commercial Brand Team)
  • Oversee and monitor of life cycle events (e.g. Launch and changes in E2E supply chain)
  • Optimize project portfolio and change variations
  • Exception-based participation in S&OP, represent GSM in GPT/GCT/GCBT
  • Track status against financial and logistical targets (e.g. COGS, CSL, etc.)
  • Review and assess short- and mid-term E2E demand and supply planning
  • Participate in stock building decisions, etc. in alignment with master planner and plant supply planners
  • Ensure stable E2E supply, achieving required CSL and fulfilling patient needs
  • Ensure and maintain product specific E2E visibility: API, bulk and FG
  • Initiate on-demand communication with planners, SC managers and internal customers
  • Review and assess inventory development (excess and shortages)
  • Manage issue discussions and escalation into GSCM and S&OP
  • Support issue / risk identification and resolution with relevant stakeholders


  • Master degree preferable, minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Supply Chain,  Mathematics/Statistics or Natural Science with a strong understanding of Economics
  • Advanced pharmaceutical business knowledge (5+ years of experience)
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain principles and strategies with focus on operations
  • Intermediate experience with respect to high-complexity product
  • Intermediate knowledge of launch and life cycle management strategies
  • Intermediate knowledge on cross-functional processes (quality, CMC,…)
  • Basic knowledge of finance and regulatory
  • Basic knowledge of planning activities
  • Strong passion to drive operational excellence in a customer centric manner for his/her product
  • advanced presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of the principles of Lean and Six Sigma applied to Supply Chain
  • Intermediate knowledge with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Advanced Planning Systems, ERP systems and analytical tools (SAP/APO, BI)
  • Basic knowledge on Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
  • Basic knowledge on regulations (FDA, PMDA, EMA, CHMP,…)
