About the role :
Takeda’s Neuchatel Manufacturing Science team is looking for a highly motivated Laboratory Specialist DSP with validated experience in purification processes and recombinant protein.
Manufacturing Science department is owner of the process hence this team of SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) is a key player for all complex issues or projects involving the product.
As Laboratory Specialist DSP, you will report directly to the Manufacturing Sciences Laboratory DSP Supervisor. The role responsibility covers the planning and execution of "scale down" purification activities, the support to DSP laboratory team regarding protocol execution, troubleshooting (solve production problems with performance or quality impacts) and process robustness improvement projects at laboratory scale.
How you will contribute :
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Write and execute protocols according to supervisor or project lead requirements/ directions (development, investigation, process qualification)
Execute small scale purification processes (chromatography, ultrafiltration)
Execute column packing operations with different resins (0.5 to 10cm diameter)
Collect, summarize, and analyze data to prepare reports and presentations
Support investigation related to laboratory deviation
Manage documentation associated with laboratory activities
Evaluate and implement innovations in the area of expertise to deliver better performing solutions.
Develop and optimize process parameters
Control the laboratory equipment placed under her/his responsibility, ensure their maintenance, and solve the operating problems already encountered independently
Manage the stocks and the inventory of the consumables necessary for the realization of laboratory activities
Participate to the laboratory logistic activities
Perform other duties as assigned
What you bring to Takeda :
Master in biochemistry, biology, biotechnology or equivalent with 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, ideally in process development
Good experience / theoretical knowledge of recombinant protein purification (chromatography, ultrafiltration)
Good knowledge of Unicorn software
Good knowledge of the Windows environment: Excel, Word, Powerpoint...
Knowledge of analytical tools for recombinant proteins (ELISA, SDS, HPLC…)
Knowledge in cell culture and statistics is a plus
Experience within cGMP environment and requirements or good knowledge of GMP rules and principles
Strong communication skills and team spirit (ability to listen, diplomacy, initiative…)
Strong verbal and written communication with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
Fluent in French and good level of English (minimum level B2)
