  • Responsible for ensuring all relevant Supply Chain systems and processes are appropriately developed, maintained and improved, including: demand forecasting, supply of product to the markets, new product launch, recalls, inventory management & reconciliation
  • LOC Liaison to order management and customer service to help them assure order processing, management of customers and customer complaints, monitor KPIs
  • Contact to distribution partners, resolving higher level issues
  • Lead Supply Chain systems and processes for the Swiss LOC
  • Responsible for communicating Supply and Demand information to Supply Chain in a timely manner and liasing appropriately with QA, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial and other relevant functions to resolve supply issues
  • Where required prepare and implement improvements in alignment with relevant stakeholders


40% Product Supply/ Logistics

  • Working with other Supply Chain Leaders to ensure reliable supply of Product to Customers and Patients
  • Manage Demand Forecast process and dive S&OP process for the LOC
  • Work with global and regional supply chain to ensure uninterrupted supply of products to always fulfill customers’ demand
  • Manage local inventories and liaise with production/distribution planning
  • Team member in Launch execution teams aware of LOC supply chain to manage launch of new product
  • Support input to Tender Management

30% Continuous Improvement/Process and Systems

  • LOC lead for new system and process implementation
  • Assemble/ lead across functional teams/ subteams to resolve systemic and systematic network issues across various areas of technical and life cycle complexity and Takeda sales
  • Lead projects in support of continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Provide open and collaborative ways of working to support various functional and/or departmental initiatives evaluating major issues and removing or reducing the risk from obstacles/variables that may arise

20% Customer Service, Order Management & Distributor Liaison

  • Manage LOC logistics processes in support of reliable supply of product to Customer and Patient
  • Manage internal and external Reporting as required to support compliant reliable supply of product to Customer and Patient
  • Be key contact to Distribution partners, monitor performance, review invoices
  • Be first level LOC contact to order management and customer service

10% - Import Operations Support

  • Manage import VAT and customs/agency invoicing incl. documentations
  • Support projects related to import operations improvement

    Complexity and Problem Solving

  • Professional relationship building that influences and advances business priorities on wide ranging aspects and issues in a complex supply and distribution environement that may impact peer groups Commerical, Tech Ops, or other functions
  • Ability to manage the day to day Supply Chain Operations for the LOC, and meet simultaneously the LOC, Business Unit, Commercial, and Tech Ops goals.
  • Balance the requirements of Compliance to achieve a sustainable and scalable operation
  • Systems, policies, and procedure design in light of resources and agreements acress numberous functions
  • Deal with ambiguity resulting in a high degree of risk management and appropriate risk mitigation
  • Deal with a wide range of problems (launch, integration, New Market Entry) that require complex judgements and innovative solutions in order to meet the needs of the Bus, Commmerical and Tech Ops
  • Impact through successful leadership and development of plans based on a sound understanding of the external market, internal requirement and the ability to determine and then leverage the market place
  • Support implementation of continuous improvement inititives (including lean Sigma/operational Excellence)
  • Manage Supply Chain audit readiness for Swiss LOC in coordination with Quality and Finance


  • Excellent communication skills including presenting to individuals at different seniority levels are a must
  • Abilitiy to think “outside the box” and be well versed in the global distribution
  • Knowledge of different aspects of regulatory compliance that impacts a pharmaceutical supply chain
  • Able to recognize the importance of meeting business needs and balance cost, quality, and customer service
  • Effective wrtten and oral communication skills in order to facilitate information flow across internal/external supply chain partners and senior leadership
  • Ability to independently and with responsibility seek practical business oriented solutions
  • Value-based, proactive and service oriented behavior
  • An ability to handle many tasks in parallel often with tight timelines
  • Systematic approach and good organizational skills


  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent
  • At least 4 years of progressive experience in various supply chain management roles with 3 years experience in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industries
  • Knowledge of ERP systems including packages relating to supply chain management
  • Fluent in both German and English, Italian or French is an asset
