Job Description

Primary Objectives of this Job
• MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) Planner is responsible for Takeda Singapore Manufacturing Facility MRO system. He/ She will be Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Computerize Maintenance Management System (CMMS) overseeing and managing the engineering data associate with all facilities, utilities and manufacturing equipment, components and instruments captured in CMMS environment.
• He/ She shall be responsible for the setting up of Equipment Part List (EPL) associated with equipment/ components and MRO parts associated with Maintenance and Calibration Activities.


• Establish and manage the lifecycle of the engineering equipment/ components data contained within the CMMS system and ensure accuracy of these data.
• Input and control all engineering data in the CMMS system with respect to facility, utility and manufacturing system and components.
• With the support from Plant Engineering, identify the spare parts (manufacturer, part number, technical details, material of construction, etc.) associated with all the equipment/ components, set them up in the CMMS and create master Equipment Part List (EPL) and Preventive Maintenance Bill-Of-Material (BOM) link with equipment/ components maintenance job plan.
• Act as CMMS Subject Matter Expert and provide support to Engineering Operations PM/ CM Planning & Scheduling and Maintenance Team, QC and QV function preventive maintenance activities.
• Support and implement Global Engineering CMMS improvement initiatives with relation to MRO and maintenance activities.
• Support on-going continuous improvement for Preventive Maintenance, Calibration and CAPEX project in revising, adding or changing associated CMMS data or maintenance job plan.
• Define and continuously refine component and spare parts safety stock level, re-ordering level and quantities to avoid over or under stock-out situation.
• Support Engineering Operations with emergency/ urgent spare parts requisition when necessary.
• Ensure adequate controls are put in place to identify, procure, and control maintenance tools and test equipment.
• Perform monthly financial review or re-class of maintenance spending to the right or appropriate cost center on consumed spare parts that charge to work order.
• Owner of CMMS (C3ME) procedure and ensure they are maintained up to date.
• Provide support for asset disposition through Asset Recovery Management System (ARMS).

• Issue and maintain work orders in ERP system • Review messages (order, expedite, increase order quantity, past due, defer and cancel) on a timely manner and take the appropriate action(s) to ensure that there is no production interruption due to spare parts planning.

• Escalate spare parts supply issues immediately to internal stakeholders and Maintenance & Reliability manager.

• Monitor execution of agreed plans, measure performance, solve and communicate any deviations from agreed plans as per MRP and production planning working closely with Maintenance planner.

• Create spare parts/materials purchasing requirements

• Reconcile and maintain raw material level inventory to meet business needs.

• Review safety stock levels on a set frequency and adjust levels as required.

• Ensure inventory data is accurate and updated on a monthly basis for forecast purposes for the spare inventory.

Generate actuals, review and provide inventory variation explanation on a monthly basis.
• Identify and resolve excess, slow move and obsolete inventory issues.
• Reconcile with Finance on short shelf life materials.
• Responsibility to adhere to any applicable EHS requirements.

• Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering and possesses 1-2 years proven experience MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) planner role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering and possesses with 4-5 years proven experience MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) planner role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Technical Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation engineering (NITEC equivalent or higher) and possesses with 6-8 years proven experience MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) planner role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willing to be scheduled for call-outs during non-office hours to support manufacturing emergencies.
