Brand & Customer Manager GI, (not office based)

Reporting into Director GI BU Sweden


·         Drive deep understanding of what motivates GI patients and the HCPs that care for them including what could cause them to choose Entyvio over competitors, acting on this through the delivery and implementation of an integrated brand plan, with considerations to the current market access conditions and challenges

·         Embed a high stakeholder focus within GI team by spending a significant amount of time with stakeholders, both internal and external, placing the patient at the center of every business decision.

Your Tasks

Business Strategy and Management

·         Leading the development and implementation of the Integrated Brand Plan in line with the Brand Strategy for our GI portfolio to maximize brand performance;

·         The successful achievement of tactical objectives and milestones outlined within the Integrated Brand Plan for our GI portfolio including but not limited to:

o    Strategic planning and implementation of using the best promotional materials, and setting KPIs to measure performance of using these materials.

o    Outline the portfolio multi-channel strategy, securing synergies between the brands, and to meet the needs of the full stakeholder audience, including KPIs to measure success.

o    Together with the cross functional team, take lead in the process of creating programs and tactics customized to different stakeholder groups including HCPs, patients, payers, patient associations and media

o    Strategic lead of Takeda´s congress activities, linked to the portfolio strategies

o    Development and implementation of a relevant patient support services, together with the cross functional team, in line with strategic planning

·         - Has a strong understanding of the local GI market and closely monitors environmental changes and competitor activities in order to be able to fine tune planned tactics;

·         - Identifies actions to strengthen product and portfolio positioning (eg. direct medical development, labeling changes) to maximize brand and portfolio performance. Anticipates and capitalizes on stakeholders’ market trends to create a competitive advantage. Recommends and gains approval from senior management for alternative approaches to maximize brand and portfolio opportunities

·         - Directing generation and analysis of data to seek out opportunities to support recommendations for strategic direction based on demand and market dynamics;

·         - Achieving the above through effective liaising, networking and working relationships with the Takeda Market Access Team, GI Brand Team, Takeda country Medical Department, GI KAMs, and other relevant outsource agencies;

Effective team and cross functional working internally and externally

·         - Supports the GI BU Director in building and leading a strong GI franchise team and developing team members to equip them for current and future business and career opportunities

·         - Developing effective and constructive working relationships throughout the Business Unit and Takeda LOC in general and with the GI Brand Team, Takeda Market Access department and Takeda Medical Department in particular;

·         - Partnering with the GI KAM team to provide strategic direction in the development of training material and programs;

Financial Management

·         - Leading and taking ownership for key financial tasks for the portfolio including the development of annual budgets, operating plan, market sales forecasts, quarterly updates, etc.

·         - Effective budget control and resource management within predefined project budgets;


·         - Developing and maintaining strong, effective and constructive team relationships (Agency, Specialists and their associations, Advisory groups) and KOL networks by taking a leadership role in the communication and liaison between all external stakeholders;

·         - Ensuring effective communication with all relevant internal and external key stakeholders;

·         - Identifying and raising relevant issues, and proposing potential solutions, through the appropriate internal and external channels;

·         - Achieving best-in-class customer focus with significant dedicated time for regular interactions with customers

·         - Implementation of multi-channel innovative communication approaches to stakeholders

Risk Management and controls

·         - Supporting the Director GI BU in managing the company’s risk profile including, (where appropriate), Code of Conduct and the Health and Safety performance of the business;

·         - Assisting the Director GI BU in ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place;

·         - Utilizing new market research approaches with business partners to assess business risks and opportunities. Proactively identifying brand and portfolio opportunities and issues that require analysis of Business Information to create new approaches or new market opportunities.

Your Profile


·         Bachelors degree or above, preferably within marketing, business, strategy.

·         Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry

·         Minimum 3-5 years of experience with brand management or sales management

·         Strong track record of high performance and strategic brand management

·         Preferably experience in working with a portfolio of brands and secure synergies

·         Identification with Takeda-ism values

·         Fluent written & spoken Swedish & English

Best chance criteria:

·         Communication & strong interpersonal skills with an ability to influence at high level

·         Understanding the decision-making process and an ability to manage complex networks

·         In depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and codices for pharmaceutical industry

·         Business acumen and ability to understand and actively contribute to the management of a P&L

·         Outside thinking rather inside focus; advocating patient and HCP perspective into the organization

·         Knowledge and experience with working with a multi-channel business strategy

·         Crucial that the candidate understands the complex health care system in Sweden, and in general the environment and business model where the franchise operates, including working with a KAM model

·         Analytical, converts information into insights; monitoring market trends, uncovering unmet needs, identifying risks, barriers and opportunities at national level

·         Business acumen and entrepreneurship to develop a commercially robust plan that exceeds customer expectations

·         Innovative, develops new ways of working and uses these to differentiate from competition

·         Strong communicator with the ability to engage both external and internal customers

·         Builds a collaborative network of relationships with people in a variety of functions, roles and locations and leverages formal and informal networks to accomplish the ambitious goals

·         Personal drive to follow-through plan and excel
