Key Responsibilities

  • Overarching
    • Serve a subject material expert within an area of expertise (specifically Site divestment management and handover) to define and drive internal “know how” to establish a common standard and approach on coordination, execution and delivery in their processes and standards
    • Engage with key stakeholders (especially Divestiture PMO, Legal, Alliance managers and GMS External Supply) in regard to separation activities and handover as a part of new BD deals to ensure timely GMS feedback for handover plan and a temporarily service agreement (TSA), alignment and execution in accordance the aligned handover plan and timeline
    • Be a key team player in the assigned area of expertise within BD deals and provide leadership / coordination / relationship management both for internal functions and external partner
    • Closely align processes or activities with other GMS workstreams, including the impact across streams and deals

  • Ensure timely and appropriate reporting on progress and status of a certain area of the assigned activities
  • Be a role model for Takeda-ism, the Leadership Behaviors and the 4 commitments (PTRB) in everything that is done

  • Pre-Close:
    • Layout separation activities map for external supply network out of a GMS perspective and align them with Takeda internally and with buyers
    • Identify key risks in CMO contracts handover and ensure mitigation plans in place to secure supply continuity
    • Define operational and governance model for external supply under TSA, provide service scope and costing for TSA
    • Define and align knowledge transfer scope to buyers, support information gathering and CMO introduction to buyers via CMO relationship managers
    • Develop and align supply planning with RA and MAT timelines
    • Closely collaborate with various internal functions (legal, finance, supplier relationship managers) as well as Divestment lead and other GMS implementation leads to ensure adherence to the overall closing timeline

  • At Close/Hypercare:
    • Support internal and external governance being put in place
    • Identify key challenges, support mitigation plan development and implementation to ensure supply continuity
    • Ensure knowledge transfer activity completed
    • Ensure operations handover to the functional owners (dependent TSA scope)
    • Closely collaborate with various internal functions (legal, finance, supplier relationship managers) as well as Divestment lead and other GMS implementation leads to ensure adherence to the overall handover plan

  • Post close (TSA period – if agreed service):
    • Support operational excellence and re-occurring issues resolution (as required)
    • Ensure CMO-related costs under TSA are tracked and billed regularly
    • Coordinate OTC flows switch and operational handover upon TSA exit while securing supply continuity

Skills, knowledge and Abilities

  • Scientific graduate (BSc, MSc) with 3+ year experience in GMP environment
  • 7+ year solid experience in operational supply chain management
  • Sound hands-on experience in External manufacturing functions (CMO relationship management, supply chain, quality) is a must
  • Experience with business development project and/or divestitures preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English + preferably local language skills

  • Experience in supply chain management, specifically in external supply and CMO management

  • Knowledge and experience from supply chain management, specifically in external supply
