In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by having the ability to lead effectively and work concurrently across multiple projects in a goal-oriented, timeline-driven, and dynamic work environment, while ensuring quality and accuracy. A typical day will include:


  • Lead and execute global transportation data collection and business intelligence analysis of transportation metrics to support D&L target review
  • Execute Monthly D&L KPIs and scorecard reporting and communication to the global KPI team
  • Deploy QBR and Performance Dialog framework on Global Transportation performance management metrics and on guidelines definition
  • Plan and support the execution of the QBR of transportation strategic suppliers providing action plans and minutes in coordination with procurement and global quality
  • Facilitate Performance meetings with internal stakeholders and action logs
  • Report performance of strategic transportation companies by consolidating all metrics on LSPs to be centrally reported and utilized by operational teams
  • Report the Carbon Footprint CO2 reporting
  • Actively support Supplier selection (LSPs): support the definition of guidelines & procedures for selection of warehouse & transportation supplier to achieve overall distribution network costs improvement
  • Support LLP program concept roll out providing inputs / data on the transportation network
  • Support the freight auditing reporting structure and deployment journey
  • Support AGILE GD&L network performance review and continuous improvement scorecard and actions tracking
  • Support the planning and reporting of GHP Global Harmonization Program with plants
  • Maintain the costs to Serve guidelines and update the database accordingly
  • Actively collaborate with business analysts on the reporting structure and solution in each business function in US, EU and JP
  • Support the writing of manuals and job aids to manage transportation operations
  • Support ad hoc global, regional or local projects on RFI/RFQ, BPR providing data and inputs
  • Support Suppliers GDP audits preparing data set and performance inputs
  • Actively support the transport budgeting in the region of responsibility providing inputs


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Good understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes & functions, logistics & transportation processes – especially in pharmaceutical markets
  • Good understanding of Manufacturing units/OpUs and commercial processes & procedures
  • Good understanding of GDP requirements (GDP: Good Distribution Practices)
  • Good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP, BI,...)


  • Ability to identify, patient-centric logistics & distribution services
  • Ability to operate cross functionally, working with Operating Units (OpUs), commercial business units, Global Quality and business partnered functions (procurement, finance, IT, legal, …)

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • A member of regional projects on process improvements, quality reviews, suppliers performance reviews– supporting decision making on products flows
  • Fair capabilities to analyze issues and to prepare & enable decision making on global and regional level in a matrix organization
  • Good capabilities to bridge Commercial & Production organization


  • GDP QUALITY: support the alignment / agreement on requirements & processes
  • GSCE / IT: provide inputs for performance mgmt. on Logistics' metrics CSLe + transportation COE
  • LOCs / manufacturing units / OpUs: support the transportation & distribution processes harmonization according to global guidelines
  • Suppliers /Procurement: Ensure alignment on transport/logistics/distribution procurement metrics and support performance management of suppliers in scope.


  • Good contribution of thought and skills in the areas of reporting excellence, leveraging logistics services to enhance the customers experience and improve Patient experience
  • Support innovative ways to reduce overall Takeda carbon footprint & support Takeda’s sustainability mission


  • Good understanding of how to support decision making within a regional matrix organization
  • Good capability to capture ambiguity, propose pragmatic solutions & align with key stakeholders


  • Bachelor in Supply Chain or Business is preferred
  • Min 2 years of prior relevant experience in Supply Chain Distribution, analytics and Logistics mgmt.
  • Good communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across countries
  • Good intercultural skills
  • Good business acumen & financial analytics skill
  • Structured, holistic and clear in problem solving
  • Good ability to make process improvement decisions especially in IT systems/software
  • Good ability to present ideas with clarity, conviction and confidence

  • Fluent in spoken and written English language
