OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
As a Data Platform Solutions Support Engineer you will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing data integration and Data Platform Solutions. You will be part of data engineers, ensuring best practices and fostering development within the team. You will work closely with our data engineering and analytics teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration across various data sources and destinations.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Integrate various data sources, including on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Optimize and troubleshoot data integrationprocesses to ensureefficiency and reliability.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translatetheminto technical solutions.
Ensure data quality and integritythroughrigorous testing and validationprocesses.
Perform data mapping, transformation, and cleansing to meet business needs.
Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processesrelated to data integration and engineering initiatives.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of provenexperience working with data integration tools, including supporting Data Platform Solutions
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases suchas SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
Strong understanding of data integration concepts, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
Experience with cloud platformssuchas AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Excellentproblem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with experienceleading and managing teams.
Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and drive strategicinitiatives.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (Preferred Skills)
Experience with Informatica PowerCenter and other Data tools
Knowledge of scripting languagessuchas Python or Shell Scripting.
Experience in Agile developmentmethodologies.
