About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and enhance our modern DevSecOps ecosystem. You will work closely under the guidance of the Senior DevOps Engineer to build secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines, automate cloud infrastructure, and integrate AI‑driven security and operational practices.

This role is hands‑on, requiring strong technical skills, a passion for automation, and an eagerness to adopt cutting‑edge technologies including generative AI and AI‑augmented DevSecOps tools. You will collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure our cloud‑native applications meet the highest standards of security, performance, and reliability.

This position will align to  the ICC and report to the infrastructure architect for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management.

How you will contribute:

Demonstrate a strong automate, then automate the automated mindset. Troubleshoot complex DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure issues with deep hands‑on expertise. Drive adoption of cloud‑native architectures and AWS managed services across product and platform teams. Reduce operational overhead through automation, AI‑driven workflows, and standardized deployment patterns. Enhance platform reliability, security posture, and scalability through continuous optimization. Implement AI‑powered DevSecOps capabilities including intelligent scanning, anomaly detection, and auto‑remediation. Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated security gates, compliance checks, and IaC scanning. Jump‑start product teams on DevSecOps methodology, tools, templates, and secure delivery best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

DevSecOps Execution & Pipeline Management

  • Implement, build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with security embedded across all stages of SDLC.
  • Troubleshoot Github action pipelines and ensure consistency of execution across various apps/product teams.
  • Implement continuous testing, chaos testing, and service virtualization pipelines.
  • Implement automated deployment processes enabling rapid, reliable, zero‑downtime releases.
  • Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, SCA, secrets detection, container scanning) into CI/CD workflows.
  • Collaborate with the Senior DevOps Engineer to evolve the organization’s DevSecOps framework.

AI‑Driven DevSecOps & Automation

  • Implement AI‑powered security scanning tools (LLM‑based code analysis, AI‑driven SAST/SCA, anomaly detection).
  • Use generative AI (GenAI) to streamline automation, documentation, observability, and operational workflows.
  • Adopt AI‑driven threat detection solutions to identify vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and behavioral anomalies in real time.
  • Implement AI‑based predictive scaling, cost optimization, and performance tuning for cloud environments.
  • Utilize policy‑as‑code and AI‑assisted compliance tools to enforce security standards and accelerate audits.

Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

  • Build and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Implement terraform templates for provisioning network, storage, and cloud provider specific resources.
  • Support multi‑cloud architecture with a focus on security, observability, scalability, and uptime.
  • Contribute to the design and optimization of infrastructure to ensure future scalability and maintainability.
  • Implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Continuously monitor performance and cost metrics, recommending improvements where applicable.

Containerization & Orchestration

  • Implement docker files, Kubernetes yaml files, helm charts. 
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes platforms (EKS, and AKS).
  • Implement Helm charts and ArgoCD/Harness to templatize application deployment processes.
  • Work with service mesh(Istio, Linkerd) or sidecar tools (Dapr)  to support microservices, reliability and security.

Monitoring, Logging & Reliability

  • Implement and maintain observability tools like Cloud watch, Splunk, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Grafana,ELK/EFK Stack, and Datadog.
  • Set up and tune alerting systems for proactive incident detection and faster recovery.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure visibility, reliability, and optimal application performance.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work alongside developers, security teams, QA, and product owners to ensure aligned infrastructure needs.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation and operational runbooks.
  • Learn and adopt best practices recommended by the Senior DevOps Engineer and support continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer, with a strong focus on building and managing secure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in AWS services. Proven experience in building DevSecOps solutions, with a focus on code quality (SonarQube, code QL), security automation and integrating security tools (e.g., Snyk, ) into the CI/CD process.
  • Hands-on expertise in docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Helm charts for application deployment and management.
  • Experience with Dapr or service mesh tools (Istio, Linkerd) for orchestrating microservices.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, AppDynamics, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk.
  • Proficient in CI workflows with GitHub Actions to automate build, manage and test.
  • Proficient in implementing Argo CD charts and auto deploy.
  • Experience using GitHub for version control, including branch management, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Experience in implementing Continuous Development pipelines on Harness/Argo CD/Jenkins.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Technical/Functional Expertise

  • Broad and demonstrable knowledge of Infrastructure and AWS platforms, including serverless, containers, and modern application hosting.
  • Firm and practical experience/competency with Infrastructure Security Best Practices.
  • Understanding applicable regulatory compliance requirements surrounding PHI, PII, and GxP.

Complexity

  • Supports project work as assigned by contributing to infrastructure tasks, collaborating with teams, and ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
  • Functions as a global resource to teams in the US by providing expert infrastructure support across various projects and products, navigating a diverse mix of business environments and internal/external stakeholder needs.
  • This role involves adapting to different cultural contexts, aligning with global business strategies, and addressing complex requirements to ensure seamless integration and effective collaboration across regions.

Preferred Requirements

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification for other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS) and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001) and how to implement compliant infrastructure solutions.
