Job Description
The Opportunity
As a ServiceNow Catalog Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of ServiceNow applications, features and products through comprehensive testing processes. You will play a critical role in developing and executing test plans, identifying and resolving defects, and adhering to Takeda’s quality standards and compliance requirements.
This role entails creating and maintaining comprehensive test scripts, utilizing both manual and automated testing techniques to validate ServiceNow SecOps and GRC module items and workflows, ensuring adherence to GxP (and/or Non-GxP) standards and other regulatory requirements.
Additionally, you will perform functional, user acceptance, performance, scalability, and regression testing to guarantee that Takeda’s ServiceNow platform meets global standards. Through continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and frameworks, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of high-quality digital solutions while actively identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Test Planning and Design:
Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases for enterprise systems and applications, ensuring alignment with Takeda’s quality standards.
Define clear, repeatable test cases aligned with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Highlight potential risks and bottlenecks in processes or applications to stakeholders on a timely basis, along with proposed mitigation strategies.
Execution and Analysis:
Conduct Functional, User Acceptance, Performance, Scalability, and Regression testing to ensure applications meet global Takeda standards.
Validate integration between ServiceNow and other application platforms.
Utilize automation testing tools and methodologies to drive efficiently.
Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and propose preventive measures.
Defect Management:
Actively engage in defect lifecycle management, including monitoring, tracking, triaging issues, and providing actionable insights.
Detect, document, and prioritize defects with detailed, high-quality reports.
Assist development teams in debugging and resolving issues.
Automation and Monitoring:
Design and implement test automation and monitoring solutions.
Adhere to compliance and regulatory guidelines (such as GxP) with pharmaceutical digital solutions.
Develop and maintain comprehensive test scripts for both manual and automated testing scenarios.
Collaboration and Adherence:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, track defects, and ensure system functionality.
Work within cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with solutions, platform, and data architectural standards.
Ensure alignment with Takeda’s data integrity policies and maintain comprehensive testing documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and frameworks at Takeda.
Participate in project and sprint planning to provide testing perspectives and estimates.
Advocate for quality processes and enterprise best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information technology; or relevant work experience.
3+ years of experience with ServiceNow modules, specifically Integrated Risk Management and SecOps, coupled with a strong understanding of IT Service Management processes.
4+ years of experience with expertise in Functional, User Acceptance, and Regression testing methodologies.
Ability to create and maintain cohesive testing documentation and test artifacts.
Experience with automation testing tools and capable of designing scalable frameworks.
Knowledge of GxP compliance and other regulatory guidelines within the pharmaceutical industry (preferred).
Strong familiarity with Agile, SDLC, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align organization on decisions.
ServiceNow System Administrator certification (preferred).
ServiceNow Application Developer certification (preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent English (both written and oral).
