The Opportunity

As an Platform Engineering Senior Manager, you'll lead team of engineers and work as technical specialist closely with Architects, Operations, DevOps, Security and other technology partners to design and implement our Captivate platform based on AWS, PlanisWare and Data capabilities. You will design/build/deploy complex, forward-looking platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect, Design and Implement scalable platform in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Contribute as a technical expert for platform administration and maintenance/operations/troubleshooting and all elements related the application environment.
• Lead and mentor diverse engineering team consisting of mix of Takeda and external vendor(s) people.
• Responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and implementing recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels or performance.
• Responsible for Level 3 platform support and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to platform architecture roadmap, in collaboration with platform owner, product manager, and platform architecture leads.
• Provision, manage and maintain the software infrastructure that supports platforms
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams to provision environments, configure services, and perform capacity planning.
• Participate in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams
• Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, improving troubleshooting and reducing the manual tasks.
• Develop and maintain application documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and Software Development Life Cycle standards and procedures

Skills and Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines, including systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, integration.
• Experience delivering architectural documentation and implementation for Saas, IaaS or Software Development projects.
• Expert level experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure (VPC, IAM, EC2, LBs, AWS Native CI/CD Services, S3).
• Highly proficient in provisioning AWS resources using Infrastructure as a code (IaC), Hands on experience developing Terraform module.
• Expert in system level scripting using BASH and/or PowerShell.
• Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Power Platform – creating automation flows in Power Automate and reports in Power BI.
• Hands on programming skills in one or more high level languages like Python, TypeScript, Java, C#.
• Good Operating System level debugging skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, and enterprise knowledge.
