About the role:

We are seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Principal Data Scientist who thrives at owning the full lifecycle of data science products—from problem definition to measurable business impact. As part of the Plasma Derived Therapies DD&T (Data, Digital & Transformation) team, you will translate complex business challenges into scalable, data-driven solutions that enable informed decision-making and drive tangible outcomes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across business, engineering, analytics, and operations to shape data strategy, prioritize initiatives, and align technical solutions with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded data science professional who combines strong technical depth with stakeholder influence, and execution excellence.

Your position will align to the Data chapter of the ICC and report to Lead under ICC Plasma Derived Therapies team.  

How you will contribute:

• Lead on design, development, and deployment of advanced statistical methods, data science/ML, and other quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems. This would include building statistical models and MLOps pipelines.

• Collaborate with Data Scientist team members in solving problems, analyzing data and finding solutions.

• Comfortable to do deep research in analyzing data, understanding the patterns and try different ML models to arrive at the best solution.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, Business stakeholders) to integrate data-driven insights into business strategies and operations

• Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to key business stakeholders and senior management.

Preferred requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in applied Math, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or other quantitative fields (master's degree preferred)

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science.

• Solid understanding of applied statistical modelling, applied math modeling, and ML techniques (e.g. Clustering, Classification, Regression, Dimensionality Reduction, Ensemble Methods, Forecasting, etc)

• Proficient in any scripting language like Python, SQL for transformation, analysis, modeling, and visualization tasks.

• Good to know any computational statistical environment like R, SAS, Matlab

• Excellent presentation and communication skills, client service and technical writing skills for both technical and business audiences.
