About the role:
The Tech Program & Project Management, Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources and processes to achieve project and program objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. This role involves managing large projects or processes, providing guidance and coaching to lower-level professionals, and solving complex problems to support Takeda's mission.
How you will contribute:
* Manage the scope, schedule, cost, and quality of programs and projects to ensure alignment with business objectives
* Communicate with key stakeholders on status, risks, and accomplishments to ensure successful delivery
* Provide overall strategy, planning, and management guidance for project teams
* Ensure program and project teams comply with applicable governance policies and processes
* Monitor and rationalize programs and projects to ensure maximum value is delivered
* Lead and coach lower-level professionals, delegating work as necessary
* Partner with customers, product/platform owners, and Technology Business Partners to identify technology services that meet strategic needs
Skills and qualifications:
* Expert in managing complex projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, providing guidance and coaching to others.
* Skilled in the Systems Development Life Cycle, applying knowledge to complex situations and mentoring team members.
* Proficient in executing project scoping and planning in complex environments, anticipating future project needs.
* Capable of leading Scrum practices effectively, coaching others, and recommending process improvements.
* Experienced in project risk management and change management, able to execute independently in complex situations.
* Strong financial analysis skills, able to conduct value realization and budget management for large projects.
* Advanced user of Project Management tools like Microsoft Project and Planview, capable of coaching others in their use.
* Effective in stakeholder management, able to manage and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficient in technology governance, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
* Experienced in business analysis, understanding and aligning project outcomes with business strategies.
* Skilled in operational KPI management, using data to drive project decisions and improvements.
* Effective in team collaboration and leadership, fostering a cooperative work environment.
As an experienced professional, you specialize in solving various complex problems, sometimes referring to established precedents and policies. Your work involves analyzing diverse data and selecting appropriate methods for solutions, while networking with senior professionals in your field. You possess a complete understanding of principles, concepts, and industry practices, exerting some influence on organizational objectives. You often work independently under general direction, occasionally leading small project teams, and may represent the organization in contractual or project matters, interacting with senior internal and external personnel. You might also participate in training junior staff.
