The Opportunity:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and AI-ready data platforms that enable analytics, AI products, and intelligent automation at scale.

This role focuses on hands-on data engineering, product enablement, and delivering production-grade data solutions that ensure high data quality, governance, security, and AI readiness across the organization.

You will work across traditional data engineering, modern lakehouse platforms, and GenAI enablement, helping move solutions from experimentation to enterprise deployment.

Accountabilities

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for analytics, GenAI, and agentic use cases.

  • Develop and maintain datasets optimized for LLM consumption, feature stores, vector embeddings, semantic layers, and metadata-rich knowledge assets.

  • Build and support POCs and MVPs for GenAI and agentic use cases, validating feasibility, scalability, cost, and security before production rollout.

  • Develop data solutions integrating structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to support analytics, LLMs, and autonomous agents.

  • Implement enterprise data models within Databricks and cloud platforms, including analytical and domain-oriented models.

  • Translate business and analytics requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for performance and AI consumption.

  • Develop and maintain ELT, streaming, orchestration, and automation workflows to support scalable data delivery.

  • Evaluate and implement lakehouse technologies, vector databases, LLM frameworks, and AI orchestration tools as required.

  • Support implementation of GenAI patterns such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), tool-calling workflows, and human-in-the-loop processes.

  • Mitigate data, security, performance, and cost risks through engineering best practices.

  • Identify and implement AI-assisted automation across data engineering workflows.

  • Design and optimize pipelines for ingestion, transformation, feature engineering, and AI data delivery using SQL, Python, and cloud-native services.

  • • Produce high-quality technical documentation, data models, and POC artifacts.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and enterprise analytics systems.

  • Strong experience building lakehouse and cloud-native data platforms supporting analytics and AI workloads.

  • Experience contributing to GenAI or AI-driven POCs from development through production deployment.

  • Advanced data modeling experience across analytical and domain-oriented models.

  • Strong understanding of ELT, orchestration, data quality, observability, and scalable pipeline design.

  • Strong SQL expertise and working knowledge of Python for data and AI workflows.

  • Experience working within AWS-based data and AI ecosystems.

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving environments with ambiguity, rapidly iterating on solutions.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across business, engineering, and AI teams.

  • Self-directed, outcome-oriented, and comfortable owning end-to-end data engineering delivery.

Preferred But Not Required

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse and Spark-based processing.

  • Exposure to GenAI implementations including LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, and prompt pipelines.

  • Experience supporting agentic workflows, tool-calling frameworks, or AI orchestration layers.

  • Familiarity with Informatica or other enterprise ELT platforms.

  • Experience using GitHub and CI/CD practices for data and AI assets.

  • Working knowledge of ML lifecycle concepts, feature stores, and model observability.

  • Experience delivering POCs that transition into enterprise-grade production systems.
