Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITX Solution Architect to design, develop, and implement innovative ITx(ITSM,ITOM & ITAM) solutions withNowAssistskills and AIstrategies and lead theE2E solution designstrategy across ITx. on the ServiceNow platform. This role demands deep technical expertise, ability to innovate and have strong alignment with Takeda’s business objectives and compliance standards (including GxP and SOX), excellent problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
Recommend and advocate target architecture, architecture strategy and vision and processes.
Accountable for solution evaluation and selection, buy vs. build decisions, and early phase project estimates which contribute to the business case.
Gain acceptance of high level design and detailed design documentation through Platform & enterprise architecture council and peer design reviews.
Create solutions that are aligned to architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets.
Consult to projects and application support groups regarding architecture related concerns and direction, as well as alignment to overall DD&T strategy.
Ensure all design and processes comply with Takeda’s GxP, SOX, and other regulatory standards.
Under the direction of the ServiceNow Platform Architect, develop a strong relationship with GDD&T Enterprise Architectas well as peer Solution Architects from ServiceNow and related Enterprise Platforms.
Solution Implementation
Prepare and update the Solution Intent Design document for the developed solution on the ITx Product.
Ensure alignment with ServiceNow best practices and governance standards.
Participate in solution design sessions, provide technical guidance, and recommend optimal configurations.
Technical Architecture
Drive the overall technical design and end to end solution design for assignedITx Product and Project initiatives
Design integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
Design reference and application architectures based on specific business constraints, requirementsand dependencies.
Design architecture components, including design and documentation of architecture relevantsystem or software changes or enhancements to all assigned systems.
Review and identify gaps in architecture and solution designs, assess and define remediation effortsor mitigation options.
Drive cross domain initiatives that are supported by E2E Design, apply digital standards to projectSolution Architecture, and drive Technical Strategy and architectural tradeoff discussions.
Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of governance frameworks to maintain platform integrity, ensure data security, and uphold compliance with organizational policies.
Platform Maintenance
Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance optimization.
Conduct unit testing, defect resolution, and ensure quality delivery.
Support product selection and manage platform support renewals in coordination with the Platform Architect and Product Managers.
Work with internal users and external vendors on problem resolution, upgrades, and product research.
Develop processes to ensure timely delivery of solutions and prepare both the platform and team for future growth.
Mentorship & Leadership
Provide guidance to junior members and offer technical leadership.
Contribute to platform governance and participate in code reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise:
Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry.
8+ years of overall IT Experience
3+ years of Subject matter expertise in ServiceNow platform architecture and hands-on experience in configuration with ITx (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM).
Extensive experience delivering complex ServiceNow ITx (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM) implementations within multinational organisations, engaging multiple stakeholders and recommending optimal solutions to achieve outstanding results.
Experience in Cloud-Native implementations of Discovery, ServiceMapping, AIOps is a plus.
Experience in ITSM / ITOM NowAssist implementation is highly desired
Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS (for Service Portal).
Experience with Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and scripting in ServiceNow.
Strong understanding of CMDB design, CSDM, and ITIL processes.
Certifications (Preferred):
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required
ServiceNow ITSM/ ITOM Implementation Specialist – Preferred
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
Ability to work independently and in an Agile environment.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to other ServiceNow modules like HRSD, ITOM, ITBM, CSM.
Experience with ServiceNow AI/ML capabilities like Now Assist and Predictive Intelligence.
Experience in integrating ServiceNow with monitoring tools and third-party applications.
