The Opportunity 

As a ServiceNow Employee Center/UX/Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, configuration, and occasional customization of ServiceNow applications with a strong focus on EC Pro, UX, Mobile applications and related capabilities. You will play a key role in delivering new functionality, supporting the full development lifecycle, and resolving product-related incidents. By leveraging agile methodologies and adhering to ServiceNow best practices, you will drive efficient, user-centric solutions at Takeda while serving as a subject matter expert in Portal, UX and mobile applications, delivering robust and impactful solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • 4+ years of developing ServiceNow solutions, with 3+ years specifically focused on EC Pro Portal, User experience, mobile applications and App engine studio.
  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of ServiceNow Employee Center Pro portal, mobile applications, and user experience enhancements. 
  • Design and implement best-in-class user interfaces for portals and mobile environments ensuring optimal UX. 
  • Create custom widgets, dashboards, and interfaces within ServiceNow EC Pro Portal using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, ReactJS, and other front-end technologies. 
  • Hands-on experience in JavaScript (ES12 refactoring a plus). 
  • Experience configuring ServiceNow AI/ML features  
  • Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow AI tools with third party applications. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, provide technical solutions, and align with ServiceNow platform capabilities 
  • Leverage ServiceNow Mobile Studio for designing performant and scalable mobile apps. 
  • Enhance ServiceNow UX design to improve usability, accessibility, and navigation efficiency. 
  • Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and systems using REST/SOAP APIs and implement authentication standards like OAuth2 and SAML. 
  • Utilize JavaScript, Glide Script, and ServiceNow’s scripting features for backend functionality and workflow automation. 
  • Work with ServiceNow modules like Service Portal, UI Builder, Flow Designer, and Now Mobile for advanced development. 
  • Adhere to ServiceNow coding standards, documentation guidelines, and development best practices. 
  • Perform code reviews and foster knowledge-sharing among team members. 
  • Act as a technical lead for ServiceNow projects, managing end-to-end development lifecycle. 
  • Conduct unit/SIT testing for the EC Pro portal, UX, and mobile features. 
  • Troubleshoot reported issues and deploy optimized solutions. 
  • Stay informed with the latest ServiceNow upgrades, features, and industry trends to ensure platform optimization. 
  • Ensure all developments and implementations comply with Takeda’s standards, including GxP/SOX regulations, and other applicable compliance and security requirements. 
  • Document technical architecture, deployment plans, and user support materials. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ServiceNow EC Pro portal, mobile, and UX-related inquiries.
  • Solid ability to explain complex technical concepts and align decisions across teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
