About the role:
As a Software Tester in the Calibration Management System (CMS) space within the Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT) business unit, you you will independently oversee all aspects of quality assurance, ensuring each software product adheres to the highest standards and meets specified requirements. Your contributions will be crucial in enhancing our testing methodologies and maintaining standard operating procedures. Collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders, you will design and execute test cases and scenarios that cover functional, non-functional, and negative aspects of CMS.
By planning, execution, and reporting of testing activities, to ensure the product / feature meets all specifications and requirements, this role directly contributes to PDT’s ability to harness data effectively, enhancing decision-making capabilities, and ultimately, competitive advantage in the market. You will be adopting cutting-edge technologies and methodologies which will help Takeda drive innovation, adapt to new opportunities, and continuously evolve in an ever-changing business/technological landscape.
This position will align to Testing and Validation chapter of the ICC and initially report to the Functional Delivery Lead for strategic direction as well as day-to-day management until the role of QA Lead is filled within Takeda ICC. This is expected to be completed by Nov 2024, post which the reporting and managerial responsibilities will be transitioned accordingly.
How you will contribute:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for Nuvolo applications on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements are covered
- Design, write, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts for various Nuvolo modules, including asset management, space management, and facilities management
- Execute manual and automated tests, document test results, and report defects using test management tools. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test progress and outcomes
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure that testing activities align with project goals and timelines
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a similar field required. Master's degree in a similar field would be a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow testing (Nuvolo), data migration / API / integration, UI and functional testing
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter/OctoPerf
- Proficiency in source control and test management software like GIT, Microfocus ALM, QTest
- Understanding of programming languages like Java, C#, Python and familiarity with quality assurance processes and methodologies
- Knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write and execute queries
- Knowledge and experience on basic AWS services like S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS etc.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for requirements assessment.
Preferred requirements:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, Swagger, and IDE tools like Visual Studio (VS), Visual Studio Code (VS Code), Gen AI
- Advanced Level Test Manager (CTAL-TM) certification
- Software testing certifications like Certified Software Tester (CSTE), ISTQB Agile Tester Certification or Certified Associate in Software Testing (CAST), etc
