Position: Senior Engineer, SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals (ATTP)

Location: Bangalore, hybrid
Summary
As a Senior Engineer (E Grade) specializing in SAP Advanced Track and Trace for Pharmaceuticals (ATTP), you will play a technical leadership role in delivering robust serialization and traceability solutions for Takeda’s global supply chain. You will directly contribute to solution configuration, integration, testing, and continuous improvement in support of global regulatory compliance and supply chain excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, optimize, and maintain SAP ATTP to enable end-to-end pharmaceutical serialization and product traceability.
- Design and deliver integrations between SAP ATTP, SAP ERP, MES, packaging lines, and external partners, ensuring reliable data flows across platforms.
- Translate business, quality, and regulatory serialization requirements into strong technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to serialization processes and support root cause analysis and resolution.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT teams to deliver aligned solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Participate in regulatory audits, compliance validation, and user acceptance testing related to serialization and data exchange.
- Generate and maintain detailed documentation for technical configurations and business processes in a compliant, auditable manner.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members in SAP ATTP and serialization best practices.
- Proactively monitor SAP ATTP landscape for performance, compliance, and data integrity.
- Stay updated on SAP ATTP roadmap, regulatory requirements (DSCSA, EU FMD, etc.), and serialization industry trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of professional IT experience, with at least 2 years in SAP ATTP or pharmaceutical serialization.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ATTP configuration, serialization models, and integration with SAP ERP technologies (IDoc, RFC, EDI).
- Knowledge of global pharmaceutical serialization standards and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, etc.).
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional technical and business partners.
- Documented experience with system validation, testing, and regulatory documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP ATTP certification or relevant SAP credentials.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain operations.
- Familiarity with integration middleware (SAP PI/PO, CPI) and cloud-based SAP solutions.
- Exposure to MES or packaging line automation systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a global matrix organization.
