Joinourexciting and new InnovationCapability Center (ICC) in Bangalore , India. Thisspecialized, innovative and state of the art center of technologicalresourceswilldrivedata and digitalcapabilities and solutionsacrossTakeda. The Center willbehome to approximately 300 change agents, organizedintochapters and cross-functionalsquadsbased on agileways of working.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Provide Project and Portfolio Management leadershipacrossGlobal IT, includingvaluerealization, communication, tracking, and visualization and leading excellence in delivery of thoseobjectives.
  • Responsibleforimplementinggovernancealignment and management, includingsourcing, budgeting, compliance, project and portfolioGlobal IT processes.
  • Providesleadership to cross-functionalteams and/or program composed of multipleproducts/workstreamswithmediumcomplexity in thesuccessfuldelivery of high-impact IT initiatives.
  • Managessolutions to achieveidentifiedobjectives, drives program achievement, and influencesdecision-making on projects and focusing on business outcomes.
  • Keycontributor to transformingGlobal IT units to theProductCentricoperating model, by influencing and implementing change management, and providingguidancefortransitionfromwaterfall to agilemethodologies.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Identify and solvecomplexproblems in Project/Program Management acrossWaterfall and Agilemethodologiesforimplementation and/or administration of projectgovernancerequirements, feedback forprocessimprovement, lessonslearned, and program enhancements.  Acta s a point of escalationmoderatelycomplex, non-routineproblems.
  • Identifyopportunities and business needs by ensuringalignment of project and productinvestments and initiativeswith business strategybased on changingfunctionalneeds, resourcecapacityconstraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies
  • Leadtheimplementation of strategic and coreprojects and programswithroutine monitoring, measurement, and reporting of performance to budget, schedule, and business objectives.  
  • Identifiesbarriersthat are slowingdownprojects and identifyinnovativesolutions to removeinefficiencies to drivetoward program goals. Provideperiodicupdates to senior management.  Monitor execution of variousdelivery team activities
  • Activelymanagestheprojectgovernance and portfolio management processes to ensurethatapprovedfunctionalareaprojects fit withinbudget and resourceconstraints; has visibilityintoprojectperformance and projectrisks and issues.  Ensuresgovernancecoordination and sup-port of theproject/program portfolio. Partner withGlobal IT PortfolioLeads to ensurecompliancewith and appropriateuse of enterpriseportfolio/project management tools
  • Contributes to keyinitiatives, projects, and changes in collaborationwith business, Global IT Sponsors, and Global IT Partners to maintain a highlyproductive and effectivedeliveryteam throughfacilitation and coordination and to ensure excellence in delivery of business outcomes.
  • Leadmultiplematrixdeliveryteams, ensurealignment to software deliveryprocesses/bestpractices, and workwithprojectmanagers to maintainproject management standards and procedures.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor deliveryteams in thedevelopment of detailedprojectplans, identifyingresourceneeds to supportdeliveryefforts, and coordinatingthedailyactivities of thedevelopmentteamsforguidance and direction on problems or issues and to ensure excellence in delivery of business outcomes.
  • Works effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary team environment. Experienceworkingwithlocal and virtual team. Able to organize and directothers' workeffortswithtact and diplomacy and contribute to thedevelopment of team members and team goals. 
  • Adapt and learn and lead in anorganizational model thatisdeliveringvalue to the business partnerswithdifferentprojectmethodologies.   

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Master'sDegree in relevantfield (Management, Technology) isrequired.
  • 8+ yearsexperiencewithin a Lean/Agiledevelopmentenvironment
  • Extensiveexperiencepartneringwith business arealeaders to plan and deliverprograms.
  • Extensiveproduct/program/project management experience, including management of fulllifecycleimplementationsfor major applications.
  • Outstandingcommunicationskills, bothwritten and verbal, and ability to reachaudiences of alllevels of a largeglobalorganization (required)
  • Technicalknowledge to determinehowprojectdatacanbeorganizedmeaningfully in order to facilitateproject team success.
  • Highlyeffectivewritten and verbalcommunicationskills to manage, motivate and drivedecisionswithincross-culturalteams.
  • Provenskills in negotiation, influencingwithoutauthority and workingdiplomaticallythroughconflict.
  • Ability to identify, advocate and implement change positivelyfortheorganization. Demonstrates flexibility and theability to accommodate change.
  • Ability to workunderpressure and meettightdeadlines.
  • Thoroughunderstanding of Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFemethodologies
