OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
The VBU DD&T Delivery Centre leader spear-heads Delivery Centre operations, delivery and innovation to help VBU deliver on the promise of the QDENGA Dengue Fever vaccine by leading the delivery of value-oriented data, digital and technology solutions alongside to drive better, faster, and more efficient VBU operations. The Head of VBU DD&T India Delivery will oversee the local Delivery Centre operations, lead partnering with multiple India-based internal and external organizations and bring a strong engineering mindset to help lead the Vaccines Business Unit to deliver on our digital ambitions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The VBU DD&T India delivery lead provides oversight over the VBU DDT delivery center in Bangalore. He acts as the proxy of the VBU DDT leadership team in front of the delivery center partner and ensure service KPIs are met.
As part of the VBU DD&T Leadership Team, the India delivery head will participate as a leader in organizing the portfolio of digital solutions and investments, the financial operations of the Delivery Centre, the operations and service level of the Delivery Centre, delivery of specific VBU DD&T organizational goals and KPIs, and oversight of the Delivery Centre partnerships.
Monitors the investments executed in the delivery center to ensure compliance with timelines, resources and value statements and drives the partnership alignment and growth.
Acts as a Business Partner with the VBU CMO partner in Hyderabad (BioE) in alignment with priorities setup with VBU DDT manufacturing, supply chain and quality business partner.
Acts as a local liaison and partner to VBU DD&T’s India-based relationships, including the Takeda India Local Operating Company (LOC), the India-based Takeda Innovation Capability Centre (ICC), and Vaccines functional leads.
Serves as a VBU DDT India domain and digital expert, bringing vaccine knowledge, initiative leadership and spearheading digital innovation.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS:
Technical/Functional Expertise
Computer science background with digital/IT management experience
Knowledge of business processes in pharmaceutical industry with cross functional perspectives
Familiarity and/or implementation experience with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality Systems
Leadership
Develop trusted partnerships with senior leaders to understand business priorities and communicate digital strategy and roadmap.
Experience in communicating complex information in a clear and engaging manner.
Ability to influence geographically distributed cross functional teams to deliver on priorities with high sense of urgency.

Able to build networks and interact with internal and external stakeholders across VBU, GPD, vendors/partners, the broad DDT eco system, and any VBU relevant Takeda Business Units and Global functions

Deep understanding of the VBU strategy, operating model, priorities, constraints, and risks.
Familiar with the complex supply chain of the Qdenga vaccine.
Overall expected to act as a vaccine coach for the delivery center members
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Required:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a related science / engineering field with 15+ years of experience.
Proven digital, technology, or advanced engineering background: – 5-7 years in one of:
Technology / digital oversight and leadership (e.g., technology organization leadership, Global Capability Center leadership)
Enterprise architecture or large-scale solution architecture
Management of engineering teams working on new, innovative products
Proven experience in leadership in a technology delivery organization, with responsibility for delivering on KPIs / OKRs or measurable service levels
Proven experience in external partnerships – oversight and/or relationship management of vendors, contracted organizations, governmental / regulatory entities, including in Manufacturing or areas with similar validation / GxP needs.
Ability to establish strong trusted relationships with executives (CEO/CIO/CTO) and functional leaders (e.g., Heads of Clinical, Regulatory, Supply Chain) as a thought leader and business advisor
Ability to work in a product-centric mindset, with a relentless understanding of and focus on delivering business value.
Preferred:
Demonstrate domain knowledge in Life sciences (Bio Pharma / Vaccines) across the value chain – R&D, Drug Manufacturing, Commercial, Pricing, Regulatory, Product Launch, Market Access.
Experience in envisioning, oversight, and delivery of GxP-qualified solutions.
Experience in technology / digital application portfolio management, financial operations, innovation management
Experience in management consulting and life sciences advisory consulting organizations along with experience of managing accounts with Head Count ~ 100-150, would be a huge plus.
Experience in recruitment / training of relevant talent, regional integration, and market maker positioning, as well as development of both traditional and pay-per-use services for delivery in India and cross-region.
Hands-on experience working with multiple regional partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives.
