OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

As the PromoMats Engineer Manager for the Content MLR Platform (Veeva Vault PromoMats) for the Content Innovation team, you will own and manage the day-to-day activities, enhancements and technical support services for Takeda’s global Veeva Vault PromoMats environments ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and end-user support. You will be responsible for the development, enablement, optimization, and ongoing support of Takeda’s Content MLR platform within a highly regulated environment. The role helps maintain operational stability and efficiency, contributing to Takeda's mission by providing reliable technical solutions and support.

In this role, you will partner closely with internal business stakeholders to understand their issues, queries and requirements, working in close collaboration with internal and external platform development teams. You will oversee day-to-day platform operations, govern enhancements and configuration changes, and ensure alignment across adjacent Content Innovation platforms and integrations.

Overall, you will drive Takeda’s Data and Digital mission by enabling the adoption and evolution of Veeva Vault PromoMats capabilities that align with business needs, best practices, and enterprise architecture principles.

Your activities would include:

• Leading a team of employees, setting goals and objectives to achieve operational results
• Assisting in driving continuous improvement of Veeva Vault PromoMats capabilities by analysing new platform features, product releases, tools, and system integrations in line with business demand
• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of Veeva Vault PromoMats environments for technical support services, including applications, analytics, and device management ensuring platform stability, reliability, security, and compliance
• Managing major incident management calls and coordinate with relevant teams to resolve issues
• Reviewing performance and operational metrics to provide recommendations on architecture and automation
• Assessing and managing operational risks, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Managing IT vendors and service level agreements (SLAs), addressing complaints and enhancing code quality
• Planning and prioritizing application maintenance and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to services
• Enabling stakeholders (both within and outside of Takeda) to effectively consume Takeda’s global Content MLR capabilities and provide training for application updates to support teams (L1/L2/L3)

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supporting the stakeholders / users for Veeva Vault PromoMats environments on their issues, queries and enhancements on regular basis
• Developing scalable services and platform operational and governance processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations in partnership with IT, business, and other key stakeholders.
• Enhancing the Veeva Vault PromoMats platform and environment capabilities, driven by business demand
• Driving alignment of proposed solutions with enterprise standards, as well as Takeda architectural, security, privacy, and quality requirements.
• Creating automations for regular operational activities
• Managing licensing and user access and permissions structures across Veeva Vault PromoMats environments.
• Managing the PromoMats Engineers in their daily operational activities

As a leader of a small team, you will need to set objectives and provide guidance following established policies. Your performance will be evaluated based on goal achievement and adherence to schedules. You will address diverse challenges, may engage in daily operations when needed, and frequently interact with internal and external stakeholders. Senior management will provide guidance.

OTHER DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

• Deep knowledge and experience in supporting Veeva Vault PromoMats and related Veeva products.
• Fully proficient in issue tracking, improves processes, and advises others
• Skilled in managing a wide range of peripheral devices, resolves complex issues independently
• Advanced proficiency in Information Technology Infrastructure Library, advises others on its application
• Capable of managing complex peripheral system configurations and integrations and having smooth interaction with other teams, provides coaching
• Strong knowledge of Digital Asset Management platforms, content authoring solutions, and content distribution systems (e.g., Aprimo, Shaman, Salesforce CRM / Marketing Cloud) preferred.
• Developing verbal communication abilities, needs coaching to convey messages clearly

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of experience of technical and operational support and development of Veeva Vault, including enterprise-scale implementation in a regulated environment
• Deep, hands-on experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats
• Strong understanding of incident management, knowledge management, handling service requests and issue resolution
• Strong “soft skills” and English communication skills, with the ability to understand the concerns from stakeholders and align diverse stakeholder groups
• Experience working with global teams in international, multi-country, and multi-cultural environments
• Proven experience in internal and external team and stakeholder management
• Working experience in the Life Sciences industry strongly preferred
• Experience in an agile delivery environment strongly preferred
• GenAI knowledge or practical experience recommended
• Certification in Veeva Vault strongly preferred
