Job Description
Job Title: Associate Director - Analytics, Global Regulatory Affairs
Role Purpose: Strategic and operational oversight of custom analytics deliveries from Global Regulatory Affairs involving Business Intelligence solutions and related semantic layer dependencies.
Primary Accountabilities, Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the semantic layer and custom analytics capabilities in alignment with the Global Regulatory Analytics lead.
- Working with primary Business Stakeholders to help strategically align, shape and optimize requests to ensure organizational and pre-existing solution alignment.
- Support in-flight resources to support understanding and documenting data & insight requirements\ technical specification needs.
- Monitor, facilitate, and report around key initiatives / deliveries across multiple stakeholders as aligned to existing process, best practices, and agreed timelines.
- Conduct group workshops, focused discussions, interviews and surveys required around critical initiatives and strategic roadmap development.
- Build and establish key strategic relationships within the business and IT teams
- Establish best practices and industry / company standards for improving operational efficiency

- Ability to profile intended uses of operational process data, and where required, mash-up said operational data with behavioral data.
- A passionate visionary who can determine how a solution’s pieces fit together, and then employs coordinated methods and tools to drive the integration of solutions into and across business processes.
- A communicative individual who can focus on key business results by showing the customer that you care about their solutions being developed, are metrics-driven, and can communicate the costs and tradeoffs of your ideas to both the customers and the GRA Analytics Team.
- Capacity to understand, plan and then collaborate on the required evolutionary paths for solution integrations and expansions, new technology insertions, and risk identification and mitigation.

Likewise, it is important for the individual to understand enough about the broad range of technologies, in a manner that permits the architect to properly engage in discussions with technical experts and not be swayed by inappropriately biased personal agendas in technical decisions.
- Articulate, persuasive, and a good salesperson: The individual must spend substantial time communicating and educating using the appropriate skills to clearly present and discuss ideas and solutions in a persuasive, compelling manner.
- Enthusiastic: The individual should have a passion for technology, their line-of-work, and systems analysis and design, while thoroughly believing in the Global Regulatory Affairs Analytics team’s mission to move Takeda ahead in the market by providing solutions that help Takeda take advantage of the information and insight generated by the team.

- Demonstrated experience leading and supporting high profile, dynamic projects with multiple constituents, and involving technology development from beginning to end.
- Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move towards consensus.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate and collaborate when required and continuously delivers solid action-oriented solutions.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Pharmaceutical industry, including at least five years of experience as a business systems analyst working with software systems, along with AI, data integration, data analytics, and reporting technologies experience from vendors such as Informatica, Information Builders, MicroStrategy, IBM, SAS, Alteryx, Dataiku, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Git Hub CoPilot
- Working knowledge of Systems Analysis and Process Modeling Techniques and Tools used for the creation of data integration architectural standards; preferred experience to include: SSADM, DFD, ERD, Data Schemas, Data Normalization & Data Dictionaries
- Demonstrated experience leading high profile, dynamic projects with multiple constituents, and involving technology development from beginning to end.
- Proven ability to ascertain what is needed for a solution and then transcribe the solution from the ‘conceptual image’ to a ‘scoping blueprint’ document is a must.
- Concise communication ability to act as translator between technical subject matter experts and business process owners, and elicitor of requirements from business users and data owners.
- Experience with data governance, data ownership, risk and compliance functions & techniques.
- Strong, yet balanced, business acumen, along with interpersonal, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Massachusetts - VirtualU.S. Base Salary Range:
$137,000.00 - $215,270.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
