Job Description
About the role:
This position provides project management and leadership skills necessary to drive the operational model for the global, cross-functional, cross-divisional teams engaged in Global Brand Team (GBT) activities, as well as project management expertise for ad hoc cross functional organizational priorities & deliverables
Responsibilities include GBT planning & process management; collaboration with Alliance Management to drive effective collaboration with external partners; Designing and implementing solutions to achieve successful execution; driving the team to identify risks and mitigation strategies, clearly outline issues andestablisha path to resolution. The position will need to engage with Leaders as needed to ensure timely decision making and to drive team effectiveness.
The Associate Director collaborates with the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) cross functional brand team members by providing project management leadership for the planning and execution of cross functional team deliverables.
How you will contribute:
Global Brand Program Management
Partners with Global Brand Lead (GBL) and other cross-functional brand leadership (Global Medical Affairs, Global Market Access) to lead and manage the global, cross-functional GBT operating model. They understand the priority focus areas necessary to deliver on the integrated brand strategy and priority deliverables.
Leads the project planning efforts, for cross functional GBT by defining team priorities in alignment with integrated strategic brand plan and tactical execution plans
Works closely with the brand leadership and is responsible for developing and managing workplans for successful implementation, identification of interdependencies and connections between departments
Manage the core brand team operating model (IBTs, GBTs) by facilitating meetings based on in depth awareness of program priorities; includes agenda planning, material development, action item tracking and follow up
Manage and/or oversee team sites and databases, enabling centralized access to materials, collaboration on shared documents & efficient action item tracking
Partners with the cross functional team members to provide financial oversight for OBU brand tactical expenditures, including consolidation, vetting and prioritization of spending risks and opportunities
Continuously and efficiently engages with and manages stakeholders at various levels and across functions. Ensures appropriate stakeholder engagement and communication.
Understandslinksand dependencies across functions and departments, including planning collaborative initiatives andfacilitatingsmooth coordination and strategic planning between the Development and Commercial teams.
Collaborateswith Alliance Management to plan, prepare, and follow up on OBU joint-governance interactions, ensuring transparency, partner alignment, and support for shared strategic goals.
Engages andmanagesstakeholders across levels and functions, ensuringeffective communication.
Operational Excellence
Demonstrate strategic thought and resource planning to support multi-geographic programs and engagement of teams working across varying geographies.
Drive the rigor with which we manage programs using project management best practices.
Ensure that brand/launch tactical execution and related budget plans—in collaboration with Finance—are developed and maintained and that information is effectively utilized by IBT and GBT.
Identify issues and obstacles that could impact the timely completion of oncology brand deliverables and addresses them with team members and/or escalates to the relevant functional management.
Identify and communicate opportunities for change; motivates and enables the team to meet new challenges.
As a member of the OBU PMO, provide program management expertise and potential ad hoc project-based support for enterprise initiatives
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree science or business-related field
8 + years of pharmaceutical industry experience required
5 to 7 years experience as a project manager leading complex pharmaceutical projects in a multi-disciplinary, global environment
Demonstrated previous experience as a project manager leading complex pharmaceutical project deliverables and teams in a multi-disciplinary, global environment
Experience in intercultural collaboration
Proven leadership skills and strategic problem-solving ability
Proven ability to communicate clearly and present key information objectively and collaborate effectively with management
Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate/ prepare presentations foraudiences atall levels
Experience working on pre-launch/launch programspreferred
Experience with alliance managementandcollaboration with external partners perferred
Project leadership and management skills arerequired

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Less than 10%

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$154,400.00 - $242,550.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
