Job/Position:PDT Business Planning & Performance Lead

BU/Organization: PDT

Line Manager’s Job/Position Title: Chief of Staff and Transformation Head, PDT

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

  • This is a high visibility role and will support PDT Chief of Staff and Transformation Head define how PDT BU operates, makes decisions, and executes against its value capture priorities (incl. transformation and change management). This role will drive organizational alignment end to end and be responsible for translating strategy into actionable plans and surfacing operational issues before they escalate.
  • Enable the PDT Chief of Staff and Transformation Head by supporting the day-to-day operational execution of business planning and transformation priorities end-to-end.
  • Program management of end-to-end high-priority transformation and value capture initiatives (incl. GCM/AI Fwd).
  • Co-create and execute PDT ways of working and change management strategy. Embed Takeda performance culture, culture ambition and transformation goals across the PDT organization (incl. orchestrate the training and capability-building agenda).
  • Support PDT CoS define and run annual planning cycles (Incl. PDT LTs, strategy sessions, business reviews, councils, summits, town halls, BU event events, site visits and external engagements).
  • Curate the President’s exposure to internal and external influencers and act as a sharp relay of the President’s intent across the organization in collaboration with communications and public affairs.
  • Lead strategic messaging/storytelling and exec-ready materials for the PDT President and CEO office deliverables.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Office of the President

  • Support PDT CoS define and run annual planning cycles (Incl. PDT LTs, strategy sessions, business reviews, councils, summits, town halls, BU event events, site visits and external engagements).
  • Architects agendas in partnership with the Chief of Staff to drive decisions and organizational alignment ensures pre-reads, decision options, and required attendees are prepared and in place.
  • Captures decisions, action items, and owners in real time; drives disciplined follow-through and closure between meetings.
  • Coordinates logistics, scheduling, and on-the-day execution of leadership forums.
  • Maintains organized documentation repositories for the Office of the President (decisions, commitments, change plans, training records, cultural champion network).

Transformation Initiatives & Execution Tracking

  • Supports Transformation Head drive high priority PDT transformation workstreams. Create charters, identify cross-functional partners, milestones, dependencies, risks, and value targets.
  • Tracks execution of high-priority transformation initiatives with functional teams; flags slippage, surfaces roadblocks, and proposes corrective actions to the Transformation Head.
  • Builds and maintains integrated transformation roadmaps and milestone views across PDT workstreams; identifies cross-initiative interdependencies and conflicts.
  • Prepares the pre-reads, status views, and follow-up trackers for the Transformation Head to uses to hold initiative leaders accountable in governance forums.

Change Management Strategy & Execution

  • Co-creates and executes the overarching change management strategy and action plan tailored to the PDT transformation, in close partnership with the Chief of Staff and HR.
  • Designs and runs change interventions—workshops, listening sessions, leader toolkits, ‘go-do’ actions—to support adoption of new operating model elements.
  • Anticipates, identifies, and manages anticipated and persistent resistance through proactive engagement and mitigation tactics.
  • Identifies and appoints a network of cultural champions / change agents across departments to influence desired behaviors locally and accelerate adoption.
  • Equips the cultural champion network with the messaging, tools, and feedback channels needed to be effective; convenes them on a regular cadence.
  • Partners with HR and Talent on curriculum design and delivery; tracks completion, qualitative impact, and capability uplift, with quantitative KPIs measured by the Business Performance Lead

President’s Network, Voice & Communications Coordination

  • Co-create internal and external engagement plan with public affairs and communication leads. Support the development of materials and orchestrate plan to ensure President preparedness.

Experience & Background

7+ years of progressive experience- a range of backgrounds considered, exposure to on direct experience in program management, business acumen and executive communications

  • Demonstrated experience in operating in complex and ambiguous environments​
  • Proven track record of leading strategic planning processes and delivering results through cross-functional collaboration​
  • Experience working directly with and influencing senior executives and leadership teams

Skills & Capabilities

  • Exceptional strategic thinking: able to synthesize complex information and develop clear, well-reasoned recommendations​
  • Strong operationally: organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at designing systems and processes​
  • Outstanding communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to adapt to different audiences and formats​
  • High emotional intelligence and the interpersonal dexterity to build trust, navigate ambiguity, and influence without authority​
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times​
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a lean organization, where resourcefulness and pragmatism are as valued as strategic thinking

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$177,000.00 - $278,080.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
