Director, USBU Content Lifecycle Transformation (CLT)

About the role:

The Director of Content Lifecycle Transformation (CLT) will lead the USBU CLT transformation by shaping, executing and collaborating with key cross functional partners to implement the CLT roadmap—a cornerstone for achieving organizational content goals and delivering exceptional customer experiences. As a key member of the Marketing Operations & Solutions Leadership Team (LT), the Director will be responsible for driving continuous transformative changes, fostering a culture of agility, efficiency and growth, and scaling organizational capabilities in alignment with related and ongoing initiatives such as Content Innovation. The ideal candidate will embark on this journey as an independent contributor, focused on delivering immediate priorities in partnership with the Head of Marketing Operations & Solutions. Over time, the scope of this role will expand to include leadership of the CLT team to drive the longer-term vision.

The objectives of the CLT role include:

  • Unify functions, initiatives, and capabilities under a cohesive strategy to ensure alignment and direction across the USBU.

  • Direct centralized governance and strategic oversight of the CLT roadmap to standardize and scale capabilities.

  • Champion enterprise -wide cross-functional collaboration to enhance communication, create synergies, and enable efficient knowledge and resource sharing.

  • Leverage unified resources and streamlined processes to rapidly scale capabilities, maximize impact, and drive efficiency.

How you will contribute:

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Lead the vision and strategy for the USBU content personalization goals

  • Design, deploy & manage roadmap implementation  for consistent execution with designated leaders and clear success/scale criteria

  • Connect CLT roadmap and Global workstreams, such as CI, to ensure an ongoing E2E view of capabilities and tech

  • Serve as primary strategic partner to other organizational efforts such as the Content Innovation team

  • Identify and liaise on technical architecture needs

  • Manage agencies and budget effectively

Change Management

  • Drives the global to local strategy across all pillars

  • Translates the org/transformation vision to a change mgmt. strategy representing diverse stakeholders/perspectives

  • Establish the goals, scope and approach to execute on the roadmap

  • Curate and disseminate USBU CLT communication's plan

  • Centralize USBU cross-brand initiatives and timelines into a single repository

  • Ensure collaboration & feedback loops across stakeholders' groups

Governance

  • Design Governance Framework: develop the overall governance framework, including principles, roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment: Engage stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with business goals, address concerns, and secure commitment to the governance structure

  • Communication & Reporting: Implement regular communication channels and reporting processes to keep governance participants and stakeholders informed

  • Continuous Improvement: Review and refine the governance framework and processes based on feedback, changing needs, and lessons learned

Training

  • Needs Assessment: Identify skill gaps and training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance analysis

  • Translates functional training needs and plans (e.g. Marketing, Marketing Operations, MLR) into the development of training programs

  • Leads functional training development with CI shared resource

  • Identifies and leads the development of SOPs, work instructions, and FAQs

  • Compliance and record-keeping

Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish CLT measurement plan & reporting cadence

  • Evaluate training effectiveness

  • Determine and deploy testing capability plans (Pilot, POC, test and learn)

  • Report progress on pilot, capability and technical milestones

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience across commercial functions such as marketing, marketing operations, customer experience planning (e.g., omnichannel).

  • Demonstrated people & peer leadership experience.

  • Experience with analytical ability with building customer centric brand and experience strategies.

  • Demonstrated experience with conflict resolution.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Skilled at applying emerging technologies, including AI-enabled tools, to enhance efficiency, optimize workflows, and drive innovation in marketing execution.

  • Experience navigating regulated environments and promotional review processes.

  • Skilled with understanding and managing employee concerns, building empathy, and motivating teams by recognizing and responding to their responses to change.

  • Proven ability to adjust the change plan and make quick decisions in response to fast-changing environments and unexpected challenges.

  • Proven ability to anticipate issues, develop contingency plans, and find solutions to keep the strategy on track.

  • Proven ability to understand the company's strategic goals, financial implications, and market impact to ensure the strategy remains relevant and beneficial to the organization's success.

  • Proven collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared plan.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse and matrixed teams.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced degree in business, marketing, or related discipline.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

  • Proven success in implementing operational improvements and scaling new ways of working.

  • Certifications and/or experience in change management, agile ways of working, etc.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$174,500.00 - $274,230.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
