Job Description
About the Role:
Lead global market access and pricing strategy for Mezagitamab (TAK-079), an innovative auto-immune asset, to secure optimal reimbursement, patient access, and value realization across key markets.
As a member of the global product and commercial teams and relevant cross-functional teams, you will shape payer value strategy, Health Technology Assessment (HTA) positioning, and evidence generation from early development through launch.
You will provide cross-functional leadership across R&D, Medical, SPD, Key Markets, International Business Unit, and other cross-functional partners, ensuring aligned, high-impact access strategies and supporting execution and driving launch readiness through robust global planning, local adaptation, and effective execution in core markets and working very closely with IBU Specialty Care to ensure readiness beyond core countries.
How you will contribute:
Lead the development and execution of global market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies to support successful launch and maximize patient access
Act as the global access lead within the global product and commercial teams, ensuring strong Market Access influence across clinical, regulatory, and commercial decision-making
Integrate payer and HTA requirements into clinical development and global evidence strategies to support value demonstration and reimbursement success. Work with IBU Access team to ensure any additional country archetype is taken into account beyond core markets.
Develop Global Market Access Plans, including Target Value Profiles, pricing strategy, and global payer value tools
Partner closely with Global Health Economics, Global Evidence & Outcomes, Medical Evidence Generation, Global Pricing, key Local Operating Companies & International Business Unit partners to ensure a consistent and scalable access strategy across key markets
Represent Global Pricing & Access perspectives in governance forums contributing to critical development and launch decisions
Support implementation and drive launch readiness by translating global access strategies into actionable plans, partnering with 6 core Markets and International Business Unit Access and partners to ensure local adaptation, alignment with payer requirements, and effective execution at launch to reach aligned targets
Lead development and delivery of asset-specific training and communication materials for Mezagitamab, ensuring Global Product, Commercial, and market teams are equipped with clear payer value messaging, and access strategy tools to support launch readiness and effective execution
Drive development of innovative access approaches, including value-based frameworks and differentiated pricing strategies
Anticipate and interpret global payer, HTA, and healthcare policy trends to inform value positioning and lifecycle access strategy
Leverage advanced analytics, digital tools, and AI to enhance payer insights, scenario planning, and high-impact value deliverables
Skills:
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD or equivalent)
8–12 years of pharma/biotech experience with strong expertise in global, regional or key country market access, pricing, reimbursement, and payer evidence strategy
Strong understanding of global payer systems, HTA frameworks, and reimbursement & pricing pathways across major markets (US, EU, Japan, China)
Demonstrated experience supporting global product development and launch, including launch planning, access execution, and cross-market implementation in key markets. Comfort with drug development, evidence planning and launch processes.
Proven experience developing and delivering asset-specific market access training and communication materials (e.g., payer value story, HTA positioning, evidence requirements) to support launch readiness and effective execution across regions and markets
Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrix organization
Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate complex insights into actionable access strategies
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across functions and seniority levels
Experience leveraging digital platforms, data analytics, and AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making and access strategy execution is a plus

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$177,000.00 - $278,080.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives.
