Job Description
Objective:
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure successful planning and implementation of Patient Access programs
- Lead and develop the strategy for the planning, coordination and execution of Patient Access programs and initiatives
- Develop and implement training and communication plans to build awareness, engagement and support for patient access programs and initiatives across the organization
Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic planning and drive execution of pre-approval access programs, leveraging AI tools and data-driven decision making, in collaboration with the Global Product Team, Regional and LOC teams
- Represent Global Patient Access on cross-functional teams to define approaches and strategies related to Patient Access
- Serve as a main point-of-contact with project and functional teams regarding Patient Access programs and report progress on achievements within the strategic areas of focus
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional, global and local teams (e.g. Medical affairs, Clinical supplies, R&D) on the planning pre-approval access programs
- Responsible for education and training cross-functional teams (Global, Region, LOC) on Patient Access programs, policies, and SOPs
- Manage budget planning for Patient Access programs
- Maintain awareness of worldwide Regulatory guidance and support implementation of best practices related to Patient Access across Takeda
- Collaborate closely with other Patient Access teams (e.g. Oncology) and provides support for other Patient Access mechanisms and initiatives as needed
- Support audits and inspections related to Patient Access
- Support and contribute to process enhancement initiatives
- Manage relationships with key external partners and vendors
- Participate in other activities, teams and committees as assigned

- Thorough knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidance related to Patient Access

- Strong proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build consensus
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple competing tasks and demands
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience working with supply chain, vendors, and external organizations (including corporations, associations, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions) relevant to the patient access and global healthcare
- Experience working within a complex, global organization and demonstrated ability to work across functions and regions without direct authority
- Experience contributing to cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to influence and work effectively with various disciplines and functional areas
- Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience in utilizing AI tools and digital innovation to enhance programs and initiatives
Education, Behavioral Competencies and Skills:
Required:
- PhD, PharmD with ~5+years; MS with ~8+ years; BS with ~10+ years experience or related experience in clinical research or pre-approval access in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO
Desired:
- Advanced degree in a Health science field preferred (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health).
- Previous experience managing pre-approval access programs preferred
- Comfort with emerging technologies and adaptability to digital tools
- Proven ability to integrate AI and technology solutions into strategic planning and execution of patient access programs

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$153,600.00 - $241,340.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
