Job Description

About the role:

The Head of Ethics & Compliance, Global Supply Chain & Quality (GSQ) and Plasma-Derived Therapies (PDT), serves as the senior Ethics & Compliance leader and strategic advisor to both organizations. As a member of the Global Ethics & Compliance Leadership Team, this leader partners closely with executive leadership to integrate ethics and compliance into product development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and plasma operations while supporting Takeda's commitment to operational integrity, product quality, patient safety, and innovation.

How you will contribute:

  • Serve as the primary Ethics & Compliance advisor to GSQ and PDT leadership, providing practical, risk-based guidance that enables responsible operational and business decisions.
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior leaders by integrating ethics and compliance into strategic planning, product development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and plasma operations.
  • Coach and influence leaders to strengthen ethical decision-making, reinforce accountability, and promote a culture where integrity is fundamental to operational excellence.
  • Champion Takeda's ethical decision-making framework and patient-first culture across GSQ and PDT.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of the Ethics & Compliance program across GSQ and PDT.

  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage compliance risks using practical, risk-based approaches aligned with business and operational priorities.
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex manufacturing, quality, supply chain, plasma, and operational business activities while enabling timely execution.
  • Partner closely with Quality Compliance and Quality leadership to ensure coordinated, consistent approaches to governance, risk management, and regulatory expectations while maintaining clear accountability for respective responsibilities.
  • Promote consistent interpretation and application of company policies, industry standards, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate emerging regulatory developments, enforcement trends, and industry expectations into practical guidance for operational leaders.
  • Partner across the Ethics & Compliance organization to deliver coordinated enterprise solutions and effectively manage compliance risks.
  • Champion AI, automation, analytics, and digital capabilities that strengthen operational decision-making and improve the effectiveness of Ethics & Compliance.

  • Partner with Digital, Quality, Manufacturing, and business leaders to enable the responsible adoption of emerging technologies across GSQ and PDT.
  •  Simplify governance, processes, and ways of working while maintaining appropriate risk management.
  • Serve as an active member of the Global Ethics & Compliance Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise strategy, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

  • Build strong partnerships across business units and enterprise functions, representing the perspectives of GSQ and PDT while advancing enterprise priorities and sharing leading practices.

  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing Ethics & Compliance team recognized for business partnership, sound judgment, and execution.

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture grounded in integrity, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JurisDoctor(JD)preferred.
  • 15+yearsofprogressiveleadershipexperiencedesigning,implementing,andleadingEthics&Complianceprogramswithincomplex,global,highlyregulatedorganizations.
  • Extensivein-houseEthics&Complianceleadershipexperiencewithinthepharmaceuticalorbiotechnologyindustry.
  • DemonstratedexperiencesupportingQuality,Manufacturing,TechnicalOperations,SupplyChain,Plasma-DerivedTherapies,Research&Development,orotheroperationalfunctionswithinapharmaceuticalorbiotechnologyenvironment.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape governing pharmaceuticaldevelopment,manufacturing,qualitysystems,andsupplychainoperations,withtheabilitytoeffectivelypartnerwithQualityCompliancewhilemaintainingclearEthics&Complianceaccountabilities.
  • Provenexperienceadvisingexecutiveleadershipandboardsonethics,compliance,governance,enterpriserisk,andcomplexbusinessandoperationalmatters.
  • Demonstratedsuccesspartneringwithsenioroperationalleaderstodeliverpractical,risk-basedguidancethatenablesbusinessobjectiveswhilemaintainingastrongcomplianceculture.
  • Experiencesupportingglobalmanufacturingnetworks,productlifecyclemanagement,operationalexcellenceinitiatives,andcontinuousimprovementefforts.
  • Experienceleveragingartificialintelligence(AI),automation,analytics,digitaltools,andemergingtechnologiestomodernizeEthics&Complianceprograms,improveriskmanagement,andenhancebusinessoutcomes.
  • Strongexecutivepresencewiththeabilitytoinfluenceandchallengeseniorleaders,buildtrustedrelationships,andcommunicatecomplexissueswithclarity,credibility,andimpact.
  • Provenabilitytooperateeffectivelyacrossglobalorganizations,diversecultures,andcomplexmatrixedenvironments.
  • Demonstratedcommitmenttofosteringanethicalculture,integrity-drivendecision-making,andaccountabilityatalllevelsoftheorganization.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$320,000.00 - $440,000.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
