Job Description
About the role:
The Learning & Development Lead (Director level) is responsible for creating and executing the global strategy to build both current and future capabilities across the Function. This includes designing an integrated learning roadmap that strengthens functional excellence, supports career development, embeds DE&I principles, and improves manager and team effectiveness. The role partners closely with GLEC Leadership, HR, Talent Development, and DE&I teams to ensure the Function is inclusive, high‑performing, and offers clear pathways for growth and advancement.
How you will contribute:
Develop and own the L&D strategy and multi-year capability roadmap aligned to the Function’s priorities, risk posture, and workforce needs.
Conduct global learning needs assessments and translate findings into a prioritized curriculum for professional, managerial, and functional audiences across the Function.
Build and maintain a global training curriculum including compliance, legal skills, soft skills, leadership development, business acumen, technology proficiency, and AI/Copilot readiness.
Lead complex programs tied to talent, culture, and inclusion (e.g., new curriculum rollouts, university/academy programs) by using structured program and change management to drive adoption and effectiveness, and developing communication strategies, learning pathways, job aids, and success metrics.
Design and manage a world‑class onboarding program including role-based training, functional immersion, mentoring, and technology setup.
Lead DE&I enablement efforts within the Function, partnering with HR/DE&I teams to support inclusive leadership and equitable development.
Create scalable, digital-first learning assets including toolkits, playbooks, and microlearning.
Oversee learning platforms, content libraries, and accreditation (e.g., CLE and other relevant professional requirements).
Establish learning success metrics and provide regular reporting to GLEC leadership.
Partner with Change Management and PMO leads to ensure learning is fully integrated into program rollouts and adoption strategies.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
12+ years in learning & development, talent development, organizational effectiveness, or legal operations enablement (including experience in legal and/or ethics & compliance environments).
Proven experience building enterprise-grade learning programs at scale.
Strong executive communication, curriculum design expertise, and stakeholder management.
Familiarity with modern learning platforms, LMS tools, and measurement methodologies.
Outstanding communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management, including senior leaders. Must be able to tailor communications to deliver the same content to vastly different audiences.
Uses independent judgment to identify, plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload as required.
Must have excellent presentation skills and be proficient with PowerPoint and other presentation software.

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$192,400.00 - $302,390.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
