Job Description

The BU Partner of Professional Engagements (PE) leads as the operational subject matter expert on Takeda's Commercial Fee-for-Service (FFS) engagements processes to support compliant execution of HCP and Patient Speaker Programs, Speaker Trainings, Advisory Boards, and Individual Consulting engagements. As a Manager, the BU Partner will provide the best operational support to all partners engaged in FFS activities, collaborating across the matrix on a variety of projects, and processes. We ask that you a high degree of project management skills, understanding of relevant Takeda policy and SOPs. You will report to Director, Professional Engagements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a necessary contact for specific Departments to promote efficient Commercial FFS engagement activities and provide daily strategy and operations subject matter expertise
  • Develop partnerships with both internal (Brands, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Sales, Finance) and external partners (PE vendors, Brand agencies) to identify enhancements across the FFS engagement lifecycle
  • Lead communication and change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of FFS engagement projects
  • Deliver reporting and monitoring outputs to important partners to inform decision-making and measure operational efficiency

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Stakeholder Management – 40%

  • Coordinate and facilitate partner meetings to prioritize our needs
  • Improve prioritization of brand projects based on understanding of priorities, strategy, and volume
  • Develop partnerships with both internal (Brands, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, Medical, Finance) and external partners (PE vendors, Brand agencies)
  • Identify potential issues and resolve conflicting needs of important partners
  • Demonstrate support readiness and availability for process and system questions through multiple communication channels (e.g., email, MS Teams, or live meeting)
  • Establish common ground between team members with divergent views and goals

Operational Leadership – 30%

  • Provide operational guidance to all partners on compliant behavior in conducting Takeda business with HCP and Patients engaged in Commercial FFS activities
  • Provide business leadership and representation for special projects projects improving business processes, while maintaining assigned daily business responsibilities
  • Manage the analysis and distribution of FFS engagement reporting to relevant partners (i.e., Brands, E&C)
  • Deliver business tools to partners to inform strategy, and to measure operational efficiency
  • Contribute to the continuous development of resource materials (i.e., FAQs, work instructions) to lead operational excellence of FFS activities
  • Manage PE Team SharePoint/Teams sites to centralize and memorialize important internal documentation and Brand-facing resource repositories

Process Oversight – 30%

  • Be a first tier of support to Brand Teams for operational questions regarding FFS engagement activities, and as an important contact for Ethics & Compliance, Legal and PE vendors
  • Be a PE subject matter expert representative for BUs on Takeda policies, SOPs and guidelines regarding FFS engagements
  • Ensure compliance standards are enforced by contributing to the creation of training resources for FFS engagement partners
  • Support continuous improvement of FFS engagements operations. Identify areas for process improvement, propose changes, and participate in implementation to maximize efficiencies across the organization

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree, MS, MBA
  • 5+ years of experience with pharmaceutical fee-for-service activity in a Sales, Marketing, Operations and related Commercial function
  • Experience working in regulated healthcare operations environment required, including understanding of CIA, Compliance, Privacy, and State & Federal regulations
  • Demonstrated matrix management skills
  • Be a true partner to provide and embed project management and planning expertise to business-centric solutions
  • Understand and resolve conflicting needs of partners
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience navigating and working with system databases

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$111,800.00 - $175,670.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
