About the role:

We in Platform Assay Testing at Takeda play a critical role in advancing cell therapies. Collaborating closely with colleagues in Process Development, Automation, and Digital Technologies, our team performs in-process sample testing, data analysis, and provides insights to inform and guide process improvements.

TheSenior Research Associatewill be instrumental in executing sample testing, analyzing data, streamlining workflows, advancing automation capabilities, and supporting technology transfer efforts. We are seeking a team player with strong attention to detail, a robust scientific foundation, and excellent interpersonal skills.

How you will contribute:

  • Perform testing of samples according to established test methods.

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and timely laboratory/electronic notebooks.

  • Develop methods to enhance existing techniques and/or efficiencies.

  • Collaborate on expanding automation capabilities.

  • Prepare study protocols, reports, and technology transfer documentation.

  • Plan and implement solutions for technical challenges.

  • Ensure the smooth operation of laboratory space and equipment.

  • Understand and manage project timelines and deliverables effectively.

  • Work cooperatively across teams, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to thrive within a matrix organization.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, or related pharmaceutical science with3+ years relevant experience.

  • Master’s degree in biology, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, or related pharmaceutical science with2+ years relevant experience.

  • Hands-on experience with BD or other multi-color flow cytometry techniques.

  • Knowledge of immune assays like ELISA or ELISpot.

  • Background in adaptive immunity, T/NK cell biology.

  • Experience in cell therapy and/or oncology-related fields.

  • Proactive, self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and organizational skills, capable of working independently within a fast-paced team environment.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$86,500.00 - $135,960.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
