Within our Global Network Platform team, we are seeking an experienced Sr. Platform Owner – Network Tools to help execute the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and stakeholder integration of our network tools and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Oversight & Business Operations (70%+)
- Lead the financial governance and project purchasing lifecycle for the global network tooling portfolio.
- Coordinate across global procurement, legal, vendor management, and project finance teams to validate purchasing requests, order accuracy, delivery, and cost attribution.
- Assist the System Lifecycle Managers and Technical Leadership in managing the 8-quarter rolling forecast for tooling and platform investments, in collaboration with vendors, finance, procurement and accounts payable teams.
- Facilitate onboarding and renewal of contracts and vendors, supporting both capital and operational expenses.
- Reconcile invoices, manage PO/PR cycles, and ensure cost center accuracy across multiple legal entities.
- Provide purchasing guidance and process leadership to project teams executing large-scale IT infrastructure initiatives across 400+ global sites.
- Represent Network Platforms financial operations in discussions with Finance Business Partners, Procurement, and Asset Accounting.
- Support and enter requests into financial and purchasing platforms ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.
Platform & Technical Strategy Coordination (30%)
- In partnership with management and technical SMEs, help coordinate the execution of lifecycle and technical roadmap related activites for assets and tools in use within the global network platform portfolio of services.
- Manage relationships with technical vendors, including contract negotiation, coordinating QBRs, vendor performance tracking, and vendor governance.
- Actively participate in the onboarding of new tools and services—ensuring financial and lifecycle alignment.
- Serve as a point of coordination for technical portfolio management, ensuring financial and stakeholder alignment across projects, teams, and business units.
- Help coordinate and lead stakeholder engagement meetings to gather input, provide updates, and ensure clarity and accountability on key initiatives.
- Own and manage documention workflows, repositories, and knowledge management practices to ensure information is organized, accessible, and current.
- Work with Network Product Owners to help align disparate team strategies with company-wide business objectives and OKRs, identifying gaps, overlaps, and opportunities.
- Ensure consistent communication and coordination across engineering, product, and business teams to maintain strategic alignment.
Decision Making and Autonomy
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions regarding purchasing strategy, process controls and vendor coordination within defined governance structures.
- Assists technical platform owners to evaluate tradeoffs between cost, performance, security, and lifecycle value while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture, Platform Leads, and finance.
- Autonomously manages operational and strategic issues across procurement, platform architecture, and stakeholder engagement.
Stakeholder Responsibilities
- Shows a strong bias to action to meet the needs of our business owners, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Serve as a liaison between procurement, project business analysts, and platform engineering teams to ensure seamless purchasing, financial reporting, and project execution
- Engage regularly with business partners to capture requirements, align expectations, and track spend vs. forecast for tooling platforms.
- Contribute to process improvement recommendations that optimize project purchasing and asset tracking workflows.
Key Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field; additional certifications in finance, ITIL, or project management preferred.
- 7+ years of experience managing complex IT budgets, including forecasting, financial operations, and procurement in a large enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with telecom expense management (TEM) platforms and the financial onboarding of network circuits and services.
- Deep understanding of invoice processing, PO/PR workflows, asset management, and capital vs. operational cost treatment in enterprise settings.
- Working knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, CMDB structures, and IT asset management principles.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical platform needs into business and financial requirements.
- Proficiency with financial reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and collaboration platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle ERP systems).
- Prior experience with network monitoring tools and platform governance is a plus, but not a core focus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing financials in a regulated industry (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, pharma).
- Exposure to network operations, platform management, or IT tool lifecycle management in large-scale organizations.
- Familiarity with cloud finance (FinOps), SaaS spend management, or hybrid cloud cost optimization strategies.

Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:
$111,800.00 - $175,670.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives.
