Job Description

OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE

Serve as a field-based scientific authority for Takeda's Hematology, Rare Diseases and Transplantation portfolio, facilitating high-quality, compliant medical exchanges with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals across the Slovak territory.

Build and manage trusted, long-term relationships with KOLs, specialised treatment centres, professional societies and patient organisations, communicating Takeda's scientific and clinical value.

Capture and relay structured, high-value field insights to guide medical strategy.

Perform the full range of local medical activities for the Slovak organisation under the functional supervision of a designated Field Medical Advisor (FMA).

SCOPE

Financial: budget accountability as applicable to the role.

Geographic scope: Slovakia.

Therapeutic scope: Hematology, Rare Diseases and Transplantation.

Reporting line: reports to the Medical Lead CZ/SK. A designated Field Medical Advisor (FMA) provides functional supervision across the full scope of the role.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role performs the same range of local medical activities as the Field Medical Advisor role, and performs them end to end. The difference between the two roles lies in grade, seniority and the level of supervision, not in the scope of the work. A designated FMA provides guidance on approach and precedent, quality oversight, coaching, and an escalation route for complex or non-standard cases. The MSL remains accountable for the quality and compliance of each activity carried out.

Develop and implement territory-specific scientific engagement plans for Hematology, Rare Diseases and Transplantation, aligned with launch goals and therapeutic-area strategy.

Articulate the scientific value proposition of the portfolio in patient-focused, accessible terms, which matters particularly in rare disease and transplantation settings where patient numbers are small and the treatment journey is long.

Support medical launch activities and lifecycle management for assigned products, and contribute to medical education and training internally and externally.

Scientific review of promotional and non-promotional materials, including translation review and scientific accuracy checks.

Approval and processing of local educational and promotional materials, and guidance on the implementation of activities that drive patient and customer value.

CRM approval of Fair Market Value (FMV) for speakers at commercial events.

Localisation and adaptation of global materials for the Slovak markets.

Medical Information support and oversight.

Digital content and platform support, including review and approval of websites and digital engagement content.

Compliance, audit readiness, SOP implementation and mandatory training requirements.

Development and execution of country and cluster evidence-generation plans, including identification and prioritisation of evidence gaps.

Regular interaction with SSEL and other R&D stakeholders, including clinical trial-related support, Country Feasibility Questionnaire input, site proposals and communication with sites.

Support and oversight of investigator-initiated research, collaborative research projects and non-interventional studies conducted at local level.

Generation of local evidence to support patient access, reimbursement discussions and scientific exchange.

Speakers' briefing for events.

Cross-functional collaboration with Market Access, HEOR, Commercial, Patient Support Programme and Global Medical teams.

Base Salary Range:

€42,200.00 - €58,080.00

The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
