THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Principal Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role as a subject matter expert, driving the business analysis process for complex, cross-functional initiatives. Your responsibilities include gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements, translating business needs into actionable specifications, and bridging the gap between stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the overall business analysis strategy and process for assigned areas.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, discussions, and other methods.
  • Decompose high-level needs into detailed specifications, user stories, and deliverables.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for challenges, ensuring timely resolution across teams.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product owners, QA, and development teams, to align on objectives.
  • Provide mentorship to less experienced analysts, ensuring consistent skill development within the team.
  • Maintain and manage updates to analysis documentation and outputs.
  • Actively participate in defining and improving analysis standards, methodologies, and tools.
  • Communicate project updates, changes, and issues effectively to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure all analytical outputs are clear, complete, and aligned with organizational standards and goals.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex business needs and decompose them into actionable outputs.
  • Business Process Modelling Expertise: Proficiency in BPMN, UML, and related tools.
  • Agile Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile development environments including SAFE.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Capability to guide and mentor less experienced analysts and influence stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse audiences.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Expertise in eliciting, defining, and presenting business requirements, especially for data-heavy systems.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Ability to work with data teams to shape strategies that rely on analytics and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Skill in identifying roadblocks and driving solutions effectively, especially in projects involving large-scale data systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data pipelines, data platforms, SQL.

Preferred Skills and Requirements:

  • Certification Advantage: Recognized certifications (e.g., CBAP, BCS, or data-specific credentials) that validate advanced business analysis and data expertise.
  • Data Analysis Expertise: Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and synthesizing large datasets to support data-driven decision-making.

Salary: As a motivated employee, you should be compensated appropriately. The minimum salary for this position is € 3.850 per month (full time), but your final remuneration package may be higher depending on your qualifications and experience.
