Job Description

Position Overview:

The GTM Digital Innovation Lead is a strategic leadership position within Takeda, co-creating and executing transformative go-to-market (GTM) strategies to redefine commercial approaches across the organization. This role serves as a key driver in enabling Takeda’s new medicine launches by fostering collaboration across DD&T, LOCs, and business units to design and implement future-fit enterprise capabilities.

With deep expertise in digital innovation and the commercialization of drug products, you will spearhead the development of new business cases and deliver scalable Proof of Concepts (POCs) for cutting-edge digital capabilities, as well as optimize commercial excellence by leveraging data-driven value metrics/KPIs. Your role will also elevate internal and external awareness of Takeda’s digital transformation, amplifying capabilities that enhance experiences for patients, HCPs, and donors worldwide.

This role requires a blend of visionary leadership, stakeholder engagement, and market responsiveness, ensuring Takeda maintains a competitive advantage while delivering impactful solutions for its customers. Frequent and close interaction with business units and local DD&T colleagues will be essential to ensure alignment, collaboration, and seamless execution of strategies on a global scale.


OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
The primary focus will be to:

  • Co-Create and execute visionary GTM strategies leveraging digital to redefine commercial approaches that enable better, faster, more efficient customer experiences and amplify Takeda’s launches
  • Enable new medicine launches in LOCs working collaboratively with BU DD&T and GDD&T colleagues to identify, design, and deliver future launch enterprise capability needs.
  • Develop new enterprise business cases and implement Proof of Concepts (POCs) for innovative digital capabilities.
  • Amplify impact of CEE capabilities by developing and analyzing value metrics / KPIs to measure success of enterprise products / platforms
  • Elevate broader internal and external awareness of CEE capabilities and how they are enabling digital transformation across Takeda and for Takeda’s customers (patients, HCPs, donors)

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Value and Impact Measurement:

  • Develop value metrics / KPIs to measure success and impact of CEE capabilities, ensuring alignment to broader organization goals (i.e. Adoption, Customer Satisfaction, Cost Savings)
  • Analyze key performance indicators to optimize strategies and maximize effectiveness.
  • Elevate internal and external awareness of CEE impact across variety of audiences and channels

Innovation Ideation and Implementation:

  • Lead ideation workshops, exploring disruptive concepts that can transform commercial methodologies.
  • Test and validate groundbreaking ideas that demonstrate potential for market success and which can be scaled.
  • Collaborate with DD&T BU teams to enable successful downstream localization and market execution
  • Market trend analysis and responsiveness: continuously monitor and respond to evolving market trends, adapting GTM strategies to maintain competitive advantage

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as a connector across Takeda’s existing enterprise capabilities to ensure synergy and alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Build effective communication channels with teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Foster synergy among marketing, sales, GDD&T, BU DD&T, and CEE product/platform teams to guarantee seamless deployment

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced degree in majors related to marketing, engineering, digital technology, business administration or other related areas.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in healthcare industry; With experiences in digital omnichannel, insales operations, or related and deep understanding of drug launches, commercialization, and global healthcare systems (3+ years preferred);
  • Proven track record of leading innovative digital transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of scalable digital capabilities within a healthcare or commercial setting.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills that translate technical concepts into compelling business narratives for diverse audiences
  •  Strong experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments, managing complex stakeholder relationships

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

This role requires onsite/hybrid presence and cannot be performed as remote only role.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S.based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
