Job Description

About the Role:

As the Associate Director of HCP Branded Strategy and Marketing, you will be a champion of Takeda’s culture and values while leading the HCP branded strategy for an upcoming launch. This pivotal role blends strategic vision, data-driven leadership, and a deep understanding of HCPs behavior to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

The ideal candidate combines strong HCP marketing and strategy development with a mindset of curiosity and adaptability, proactively embracing innovation to drive both efficiency and innovation. You will partner cross-functionally across HCP, Consumer, Field Teams, and other cross-functional teams to bring to life a seamless, insight-based marketing ecosystem that motivates HCPs and drives brand success. This candidate will report to the Director of HCP Marketing.

How you will contribute:

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as annual brand planning lead, overseeing the design, development, and execution of comprehensive brand strategies.
  • Lead segmentation initiatives, leveraging data and insights to tailor approaches to distinct customer segments.
  • Drive the design and delivery of core materials for both APP (Advanced Practice Provider) and Biologics Coordinator audiences, ensuring content is relevant and impactful.
  • Partner closely with HCP Marketing leads to ensure campaign and message pull-through across all tactics.
  • Lead partnership with access marketing to align brand strategy with access and reimbursement priorities.

Innovation & Insight

  • Act as competitive response and intelligence lead
  • Develop effective objection handling resources and ensuring the team remains responsive to market dynamics.
  • Foster a strong partnership with the medical team to ensure medical accuracy and compliance in promotional activities.

Team & Agency Leadership

  • Be the primary field sales liaison, leading launch meetings, plan of action (POA) sessions to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
  • Lead field implementation and training on EHR/EMR systems to equip teams for success in digital health environments.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5-10 years in the healthcare industry with increasing responsibilities in marketing, sales, or related functions Healthcare related experience
  • Deep understanding of the brand/franchise, and how to effectively engage HCPs
  • Extensive experience in marketing strategy and tactic design.
  • Proven track record of influencing, aligning, and inspiring cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, building trust and cultivating strong relationships to achieve shared goals.
  • Results-driven mindset with a high level of ownership, urgency, and resilience, consistently delivering on commitments while navigating obstacles and evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, insights, and structured analysis to inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and recommend evidence-based actions.
  • A courageous leader who drives change with clarity and conviction, even in the face of ambiguity, resistance, or conflicting priorities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and agency teams and managing large budgets.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups.
  • A demonstrated ability to process complex information and summarize it concisely in a professional manner and in a time sensitive environment is required.
  • Demonstrated comfort with emerging technologies, adaptability to new digital tools, and openness to adopting AI-enabled processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for customers.

  • Prior pharma launch experience
  • Commercial experience in dermatology or immunology an asset (e.g., Psoriasis)

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$153,600.00 - $241,340.00


The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
