Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with others in deveelopment and data team to deliver end to end digital and data solutions
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data infrastructure and pipelines
• Design, configure, and maintain comprehensive database monitoring solutions to promptly identify and resolve issues
• Ensure adherence to data management principles, including data quality, governance, and security.
• Utilize platforms like MySQL, MS SQL, AWS (S3, Redshift etc.), & Informatica for data processing and storage solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and testing automation, to streamline workflows.
• Design scalable and robust data architectures aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with development team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of data systems.
• Monitor and optimize system and database performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Plan and manage database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
• Optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization
• Provide expertise and support for database-related incidents and service requests
• Conduct regular audits to ensure database compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• 4 + years of experience in data management, with a strong understanding of technologies like MYSQL, MS SQL, AWS (S3, Redshift etc.), and Informatica.
• Expertise in software engineering best practices such as IaC, DevOps pipelines, and comprehensive testing methods.
• Experience in system design and architecture, including distributed systems and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL scripting and database programming
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong expertise in data integration, data modeling, and modern database technologies (Graph, SQL, No-SQL) and AWS cloud technologies
• Extensive experience in DBA, schema design & dimensional modeling, and SQL optimization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and database security
• Expertise in backup and recovery methodologies

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in AWS, DevOps, Data Engineering, or related technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Knowledge of modern data governance frameworks and strategies.
