The Opportunity

As a Software Developer in the Agile Platform Team, you will be responsible for transforming design and vision into working product and you will develop, customize, and enhance functionalities of our Agile Collaboration platform. You will contribute to development of a cutting-edge platform that empowers our organization's digital capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop application code and unit tests in selected programming languages/library (Java, Python, etc.).
• Integrate Atlassian Agile Collaboration platform with external systems to ensure seamless data exchange and synchronization. Develop and maintain data integration workflows, APIs, and connectors to facilitate the flow of information between systems.
• Design, develop and test applications and system configurations.
• Monitor for vulnerabilities and troubleshoot performance issues by implementing alert strategies for production environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation according to Takeda Quality Systems and SDLC.
• Collaborate with more senior team members to implement feedback on pull request reviews.
• Continuously collaborate with Product Owner to demo developed functionality and validate against specified requirements.
• Collaborate with agile team members to craft clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and continuously deliver product increments.
• Analize incidents and translate them into defects and resolution criteria.
• Write and refactor code and perform code reviews.
• Estimate work based on user stories and functional requirements or wireframes.
• Contribute to Takeda’s mission by leading the development and adoption of solutions that deliver business outcomes and drive innovation.
• Leverage GitHub for CI/CD for all application development.
• Participated in support rotation, respond to system health alerts, and triage issues alongside helpdesk, managed services, and cloud ops teams.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis, or a related study.
• 1+ years relevant software development experience.
• Hands-on experience as a software developer with any high-level programming language (Python and Groovy Script preferred) and/or system level scripting using BASH and PowerShell.
• Understand how to use Webhooks, application links and API calls is a plus.
• Hands-on experience developing solutions against relational databases using SQL.
• Willingness to invest in developing Atlassian platform skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to continuously enhance one's own skills.
• Ability to write and speak in the English language.
• Detail oriented and well organized.
• Understanding of software development and project management concepts.
