About the role

Takeda is in the process of creating a new and robust presence in Mexico to raise awareness among potential applicants and ecosystem partners for its Innovation Capability Center (ICC). 

Key to this effort, Takeda is looking for an experienced and well-rounded communicator, brand strategist, and writer as Communications Manager able to produce multimedia content and promote digital social network content.

Reporting directly to the Global Chapter Lead of Transformation Enablement and working closely with the Head of ICC, the successful candidate will be required to: 

  • Tell compelling stories to showcase our data, digital and technology achievements,celebrating our employees and attracting future employees. 

  • Develop, execute and measure communications aligned with Takeda’s DD&TCommunications Plan and defined brand guidelines.

  • Foster candidate engagement programs in support of team objectives.

  • Manage and implement branding and editorial plans across internal / external corporate communications channels, supporting the Head of ICC and with a specific focus on building brand awareness in Mexico.

  • Develop multimedia/omnichannel content for external audiences including major universities, local communities, student associations, industry chambers, technologyecosystem; blog and media articles as well as business social networks content.

  • Manage and execute internal communications within the ICC including for example townhalls, team engagement, leadership messaging and internal storytelling to showcase the value contribution of ICC.  

  • Applying the internal / external guidelines andprocedures, aligned to the DD&T communications strategy and ensuring high level editorial standards, guidelines and quality control across all communications publications and channels.

  • Monitoring effectiveness of communications against measurable objectives and indicators (e.g., social media attractions, student candidate participants, Intranet statistics, feedback from key stakeholders and levels of employee engagement based on feedback forms, surveys and other mechanisms) and continually strategizing ways to drive engagement across internal / external channels.

General communications activities

  • Driving and managing a number of communications projects and activities associated with ICC and its local community activities in support of the wider internal / external communications and strategic plan. This may include (but is not limited to) the following activities:

  • Communication Project management

  • Key message development

  • Budget and vendor management related to communications

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications or a related field, and 5 years’ writing experience with excellent copyediting and proofreading skills in professional English

  • Experience (minimum of 3 years) in IT, data, digital, technology and agile services environment, with understanding of technology market and talent trends

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals is a plus

  • Experience with designing and running Recruitment Marketing campaign(s)

  • Experienced storyteller; creative, out of the box thinker with a track record of coming up with new ways to engage external stakeholders and employees

  • An exceptionally strong eye for detail, with solid strategic, analytical and planning skills, as well as a creative approach to problem solving

  • Comfortable with change, with an ability and willingness to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment

  • Experience with intranet platforms, Microsoft Office suite and Adobe (Indesign, Illustrator, premier, audition)

  • Video editing and multimedia production experience required

  • Management of social media campaigns 

  • Professional English & Spanish language skills

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with media and industry players / executives of varying levels and areas of expertise

  • Ability to deliver in high pressure situations and with short deadlines
